- Hostel is quite strict with only 2 days outing for girls and 3days for boys.
- We have to focus on academics and put our own efforts cannot expect all the faculties to teach well.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course and curriculum is just wonderful, we learn all medical subjects and along with that we learn nature cure and yoga subjects. The system prepares us well to face the real world and here we learn how to not only cure symptoms but treat the root cause.
Internships Opportunities
One year of compulsory internship is included in the course. Where we will be posted to different naturecure hospitals, that is shabti Vana, kshemavama in Bengaluru, soukhyavana in udipi. Also few allopathy hospitals for exposure
Placement Experience
After attaining bachelors one can start practicing or can pursue masters. In this course major advantage is that we would have learnt about various fields like yoga, naturecure, diet and nutrition, accupuncture, hydrotherapy, etc. So we can choose our own interest and build our career in that field or can integrate all these and give integrative treatment. One can open their own clinic, wellness centres or yoga centrers. Govt job opportunities are also available. Or can also work as acupuncturist in cruise. There are people earning 30000/month to more than 1500000/month. Where we have to stand depends on us.
Fees and Financial Aid
Karnataka students can get into college by securing rank in CET exam through govt seat, whose fee is 60k/year, however management seat costs around 200000/year, Its a 5.5 year course, in which one year compulsory internship is included. I have secured govt seat so I feel it is totally worthy.
Campus Life
We have a library with numerous informative and useful books. We have smart classes equipped with projector and microphones. We have lot of scope for cultural and sports, we get opportunity to even compete in national tournaments. Yoga contests will also be held.
Hostel Facilities
We have 3 sharing or 4 sharing rooms, with quite decent space to accommodate our stuffs. Common washrooms are available no attached washrooms or bathrooms. Food is quite decent. Hostel is however affordable. We are not allowed to live in PG or rented rooms.
Admission
Karnataka students who has secured good rank in KCET in PCB subject and has obtained 45% in boards in PCB can apply through KCET. For management eligibility remains same, that is 45% minimum marks in PCB, that means in 12 we must have taken biology as option. Faculty
Faculties are all highly qualified professionals however teaching method differs from person to person, we have facility for smart classes and mostly lectures use projector and chalk and talk method as well. All faculties are approachable and ready to help and guide us.
