Likes

The faculty of the School of Law were experienced professionals.
The Library contained every book one would need.
There were multiple prayer halls built around the campus

Dislikes

They promised us an A/C classroom which was not provided until our last year
The canteen could be improved in a lot of areas
There were no placements for the department of law

Course Curriculum Overview

The course gives us an all round coverage of the laws in India and a few international laws as well. The 5 year BBA LLB (Hons) course also touches up on a number of business administration centered subjects. I found it to be all encompassing.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

For the department of law there is minimal placements. One would need to approach numerous law offices and law firms requesting for employment before getting employed. The process is rather hectic and uncertain and therefore could use improvement on the side of the department.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships on a merit basis and those who qualify are provided with scholarships given that it is up to them to maintain it throughout their course duration. The college provides campus placement for most departments and maximum students get placed.

Campus Life

Multiple extra curricular activities are held year round with cultural and club specific events organised by the club members. Literature events, tech events, dance competitions and the like are commonplace at this college.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good as they provide ac rooms as well as non ac rooms. The food is hygenic and the laundromat services are free of cost. The built-in gym offers a superb past time for male hostellers and there is a masjid inside the hostel grounds.

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

The admission process was rather simple with an entranc exam being held well in advance to determine the student's eligibility to be enrolled in the course. Once that is done the relevant documents need to be submitted and the fees paid. Then the ID card is provided and classes commence.

Faculty

The department of law has sufficient faculty well versed in the subjects that they take up. Most faculty members have experience as advocates and so are able to provide us with practical knowledge as well.

Best Government Law college in Madurai

Remarks:

The Government Law College, Madurai is overall a good college. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Faculty is also helping and skilled. BSA CRESCENT, THE BRUTAL TRUTH

The affordability combined with the half-decent nirf ranking is what made me want to choose this college. One of the ther college i got admission from is Satyabama, which i didnt go through with is partly becuase of how strict the college is, and also because it is slightly more expensive than Crescent. Hindustan and KCG are some of the other i didn't go through with, the reason being their lower nirf rankings. I wasn't rejected from any of the colleges because i only applied to colleges i had a realistic chance of getting in. BS Abdur Rahman has it's own entrance examinations which are conducted 3 times. They dont determine your fees structure, but they do determine the course/department you get. the better you perform at the entrance exam, the more likely you are you get the course of your choosing. I've visited the campus , it was greenly and peaceful ! And then fee structure was manageable and there is no extra charges unwanted payments apart from the tution fee ! There is no donation like theft ! It makes me join this college !
