- Since, SOIT RGPV is located in main university it has a big campus. Accompanied by lush greenery and peaceful environment, we can see peacocks dancing sometimes.
- Variety of Groups such as E-Cell RGPV, GDSC RGPV, TNP Cell, Devoic, ASPER, and many more that we can be a part of .
- Faculty is Good and supportive. It has no mandatory attendancy policy and students attend classes according to themselves.
Dislikes
- There are no such events like musical concerts and no such good sports events like the other colleges. No big faces are invited for seminars and conselling.
- The campus placements are not up to the mark and students are offered with low salaries. There is a problem of corruption which minimizes the development of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I am a student of Data Science, the Course comprises of all the technical sunjects which are required for the Data Science. The subjects in the course are arranged in the proper order and also include the subjects which are essential for the Gate Exams. The course started with the basic knowledge subjects to the advanced ones. The semester are held of 70 marks where the timing is three hours. The question are from intermediate to advance and if one has prepared with throughly then he or she can score more.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides with internship opportunities, but they are not stipend. Instead, they are unstipend. The college provides with practical knowledge through internships. In the latest we have been provided by internship by Cisco networking Company, which taught us about Internet security and Data browsing. The college also offers projects which can be made for further assistance of the companies.
Placement Experience
Since. The School of Information Technology, RGPV Bhopal is newly established for the courses. Data science and artificial intelligence and machine learning. Therefore, no batch has been passed out yet. The branch. CSBS which stands for computer science engineering business system has been passed recently and good placements have been seen. The students have been hired by non tech companies which offer them salaries. 3.25 lakhs per annum to 8 lakhs per annum. The first batch of data science to be passed out in 2026 And then we can see the placement record. We can extent offline placement in good companies by gaining knowledge from School of Information Technology.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Course fees is 40,000 INR, and there is separate bus fees which is 6400 INR which include 2400 INR which is caution fee and refundable. The students which are in merit in their class 12 board exmas and has a good percentile in JEE exam are in the category of the "MEDHAVI CHHATRA" and they are exempted from their course fees and thay are not provided with any scholarships. The students which fall in OBC, EWS, SC and ST category are provided with scholarships from the MPTAAS website which is runned by the State Government. Girls are provided with separate schoarships. There are many internships which are offered by the college professors and they help the students in gaining practical knowledge.
Campus Life
The college campus is is very huge and is. accompanied by Lush Green trees, which also provide a greater view. Also, we can see Peacocks dancing sometime. The technical festivals are held once or twice in a year and the faculty is also involved and the funding is provided by the VC of the College. For sports events, there is a event called MahaSangram, which is the main sports event. The student run social groups like ECELL, GDSC, Devoic, Etcetera. which helps provide impact on students life. The campus has been newly provided by a knowledge resource lab which has many computers which are equipped with I-9 processors. and are much faster with good Internet speed So student can sit there and learn stuff
Admission
The admission process is much simple and. the students are admitted based on their JEE scores And the cutoff varies according to the students category. We have to apply in the MPDTE website and According to our JEE score. We have to. fill up the form and select colleges for counseling and once the college has been allotted. We need to take the print out of the website and rush to the college under three days after the college has been allotted, we need to take a required documents, which includes 10 class marksheet, 12 class marksheet and migration certificate, transfer certificate of previous school. JEE scorecard and college then check for the documents and once they have verified the documents, the student gets admitted in the college. There are reservation benefits, some seats are reserved for the OBC candidates, SC candidates and ST candidates respectively. The frequency and timing of exams varies according to different branches.
Faculty
The faculty is good and supportive. They are well equipped with the knowledge of the subjects. But there are no such smart classrooms which must include video sessions and practical knowledge. There are no classes to assist students how the companies hire students. Else, the teachers provide students with the handwritten or the printed notes with helps the students in a lot better way. The Mid Term exams are held twice the semesters and marks are evaluated considering the best of two. The Teachers are good in there communicaton skills and they are good to explain the topic effectively so that the student would grasps it. The teachers help students while the internal examinations and overall experience is good.
