Chandigarh University review

Programming was always my interest since i was in school . The curriculum actually prepares us for the real world as we learn to use latest technologies that are being used . The teaching methods can be improved a lot teachers can improve their learning methods . And they conduct exams frequently like we have two mid semester test one practical examination for mid sems and one final practical examination and one final examination. Mid sems aren't that difficult.

Companies like DBS ,JP Morgan, nokia , LG just visited for the role of software development, devops , machine learning internships with a ppo and stipend worth 30-35k per month. And after performance based they will give you ppo

We became eligible for placements from 6th semester. Many companies already visited the campus for the placements like Jp Morgan , DBS . It's just starting so the highest for now is 18lpa and average 5-6 lpa as of now. On an average almost 90% students gets placed every year . After getting degree i will do master from outside india .

During i took admission in 2021 the academic fee for one semester was 90000 for general CSE and the fee increases almost every year and now in 2024 it is 106000 for one semester. Other than that we have one time security fee that is 2000 and examination fee every semester which is 2500 . And the hostel fee in 2021 was 81000 per year for 5 seater. There are a lot of scholarships available like on the basis of 12th percentage if you have more than 90% you will get 50% scholarship and on the basis of CUCET . And many more available. I haven't indulged in any employment activity as of now but the college does bring companies for us

The calendar of Chandigarh University is filled with events . Every month there is a event . But the two most awaited once are CUFEST which held generally in feb to april and second one is welcome party for the freshers. Both lasts for 3 days . The libraries are filled with books and are very easily accessible. We have libraries in all the blocks of our college. We have extracurricular events and sports events frequently but due to crowded campus we couldn't participate as the number of participants is very high .

We were given a bed study table chair almirah. The meal quality is not very good but compared to other colleges it is better . The menu is interesting it keeps changing time to time. Hostels are not very expensive as of now 2024 the hostel fees for 5 seater of 90000 per year including mess charges.

There is no eligibility criteria for admission. You can just connect to admission department for the admission which you can find on there website and one person will be provided to you who will guide you until the end . They have there own exam for admission which is just a scholarship test which is conducted two times and not that difficult.

The faculty to student ratio is approx 70 for a theory class and in a lab class there are only 35 students for a teacher to manage . I think a teacher can easily manage a class of 60 - 70 student so it doesn't negatively impacts the learning. Most of the teachers have knowledge about there subject but some teachers came and just the books and go. Interraction with the teachers is very easy and you can interact with almost every teacher . My experience is quite bad is terms of getting a good teacher throughout my college.
