Course Curriculum Overview

As Government Polytechnic Kolhapur is an autonomous institute, curriculum is designed by conducting meetings with industry persons and understanding what qualities the look for in a new joinee. Also include new emerging technology in curriculum.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 8000 per year

Placement Experience

Companies like bajaj, philips, tata etc. come for placement drives, also off campus placements are provided by college. Average package is 3 LPA. Generally most students opt for higher education, so very few actually apply for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Courses in out institute are verry affordable. Non aided seat cost 8000 per year and based on scholarships and reservations this amount can be reduced to 700 per year which is extremely low as compared to other institutes.

Campus Life

Campus is very big, campus also has garden to sit and spend time in free lectures. Parking facility for boys and girls is also good. Also outdoor gym is available in campus. State level sports competitions are also done by the students.

Admission

Addmission process is done though CAP rounds. Seats are allotted based upon the merit system. Each field has around 120 seats which are divided into reserved, tfws quota and ebc/ews. The remaining seats are non aided seats which anyone can get by paying full fee.

Faculty

All staff members are selected through tough examinations like MPSC, UPSC and GATE. Some are phd holdes of the field they tutor. Staff members are very kind hearted and even help students financially if needed.

Placement Experience:

Placement strategies is different for every department. Like most computer engineering students wants higher education. Mechanical, civil and automobile students not that much interested in higher education. Teachers of placement department are very active in there work they gave us more information and counseling like who have to get higher education and who gave to be placed. Students fills a google form which os about students placements, according to that they know how many students are interested in placement and higher education. Companies like TATA, VPRO and other are came for campus in our college various tests and interviews are taken then salary and other things are discussed. Many students get pass in interview. The ratio is about to 30% students get placed every years from campus.

As I have heard people mostly get placements from this college itself. If not they go for their degrees and take placement there. The salary is mostly around 5 lakhs per annum which is decent enough for most students. According to the principal from the college if a student studies afterwards for degrees this number racks up to 18 lakhs.
