Course Curriculum Overview

3

I love psychology a lot, its a really interesting subject to study. While you pursue your undergraduation in psychology you may get an idea about what you can pursue next and which subject is your best interest. Exams aren't that tough if you're thorough with your portions.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given to students with difficult background. There are two shifts in the college, morning shift is government aided so the fees is low compared to the second shift students, the fees is 33k in the first, third & fifth semester and 19k in 2nd, 4th & 6th semester. Psychology department doesn't have placements but other departments like maths do have.

Campus Life

3.5

I personally enjoyed culturals conducted by the college therefore I'd be happier I'd culturals are conducted more than usual as it helps the students to showcase their talents and also have break from their studies. Fests and sports day are my favourite. Library is a heaven you can find all books there and read peacefully. There are various clubs like NSS, NCC make sure to be a part of it.

Hostel Facilities

1

Well, I'd say try getting a hostel room outside the college campus if you want to really enjoy college life, as the hostel has many many rules. Rooms are mostly dusty, you should clean it often. Mess food isn't that good. Mess aunties will give you looks if you ask for extra. Hostel registration is completely online with application fees of Rs.150.

Admission

Have score more than 90% if you're applying for undergraduation. You can find the application form in the portal of Women's Christian College in the admission category. First preference is given to christian students, if you have high scores then you may have chances to get admission. Exams happen early, where CIA happen twice per semester.

Faculty

3.5

In my department, the teachers are friendly and jovial. They teach the students in a very interesting way which encourages them to be always focused in their work as well as their studies. In case of doubts, teachers are always approachable and helpful. I love them

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course covers the basic of the subjects and we have not gained advanced knowledge. Although well prepared, it was difficult to attend the entrance exam in other institution. Practicals are less than theory. So the course should give more deep knowledge about the subjects and also practical knowledge.

.The placement cell works very actively in the college providing a lot of placement opportunities from companies like Zoho , Wibro, World Bank with good packages. The companies provide training where they train the overall personality and performance of the students through interactive sessions, tasks and interviews.
