Life at PJTSAU

In BSc.(Hons) Agriculture we have to study 1. Crop physiology 2. Entomology 3. Plant breeding 4. Plant pathology 5. Agricultural Economics 6. Agricultural Extension 7. Horticulture 8. Statistics 9. Agronomy 10. Forestry(2ndsem) 11. Food science(2nd sem) 13. Verteneray ( in 2 sems) In final year there were no classes we have two programs called ELP ( Experiential Learning programme) And RAWEP ELP is a 6 months programme here we were alloted different units like crop production, horticulture unit, vermicompost unit and soil testing unit etc..here we gain hands on experience we have to profits RAWEP we have stay in Village for 6 months here we are alloted to farmers we have to collect information about crops and agriculture related information here we gain practical exposure to crop. .we have to study atleast 9 subjects for each sem this causing burden on most of the students because for final practical and theory examinations need 1 month .

Internship was done during 6 th sem for last 1 month it was industrial attachment. College didn't attach is to industries we have to select one industry and take permission in our local area , we have collect information regarding company profits ,losses, , export, imports and products details we have submit detailed report at the end of the month we are no paid for this internship but it was added at end of degree certificate.

- During final year ( 6th sem) they are eligible for placement - HDFC, Coromandel - Mostly boys gets placed because of working environment they had around 40% gets placed remaining all they pursue MSC - Most bsc agriculture graduates prefer MSC those who are interested in research field remaining prepare for Ao and Aeo , NABARD, FCI, IBPS etc

Fee for 4years around 275000 including mess charges Scholarship for per year Obc- 42- 45k General - 30-32k Sc&St - 45- 52k Mess was student run so mess charges based on the menu that we have selected it may be around 3.5 k per month

- we celebrate sports meet every year University level all college under University will participate,and college day, farmers day, soil day etc.. - there most of references books related to subjects we can find and agriculture today magazine also available - Power point class rooms with Ac recently Computer lab started -- there were different clubs but most of the time they are inactive they will be active only during college day celebration

- student run mess so obviously food is delicious - hostel rooms are best and washrooms are near it's completely based on warden strictness registration of hostel during admission takes place Facilities - drinking water - cool and hot - study room - geysers - Tv - CCTV - Strict rules regarding ragging in hostel - beautiful terrace

The qualification of most the faculty under PJTSAU is PhD in their respective fields and some of them very least are MSC's. Sometimes we will had chance to get senior scientists as faculty when colleges are in Research stations (RARS)
