Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course basically teaches about the great poets of English literature about which i wanted to learn fron a long time . It also introduced me to linguistics which is a very interesting field As I wrote the course introduced me to linguistics & phonetics which is very much needed to pronounce any word correctly. This might help me to communicate properly in India as well as in foreign countries too. The course curriculum must not include extra subjects like EVS, or first aid as they have no relation with English. It becomes an extra burden on the students The frequency & timing of the exam are well planned I would say. But I think the mid-term exam should be 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for my course is 67000 per annum. I think it is affordable to many middle-class families. I saw the course fee for the same course in many other universities it was much higher. But it is completely wrong that the students are being asked about the fee for 2nd year before ending of 1st year and if they are unable to pay they are being charged with extra fine. Already the fee is 67000 and now they are adding 200/ day as a fine.

Campus Life

4

The campus life, I would say is good. Many events are held probably every month. Celebrities like Shilpi Shetty, and Kirti Sanon came to the university. There are so many clubs in the student council of the university which is a great way to explore the world outside of your course and enhance your talent. The council has a dance club singing club makeup club photography club and many more. This is a great way through which students get to explore the outside world and they become more passionate and responsible.

Admission

The admission process was simple. I applied online. I got a message from the university that i was selected for my course. Only once i was called to the university to pay half of my fee and reserve my seat . There was no such reservation benefit provided to me as I belong to the Obc caste. The application form can easily be found on the official website of the university. The admission process according to me doesn't require any such improvements

Faculty

4

The ratio is about 8:50 (faculty: students ). The faculty is very helpful to the student. They are a bit strict when it comes to attendance. If a student pays their full attention to the class he/she might not find it difficult to understand the topic. And the faculty is always ready to explain to any student again if he /she has a problem in understanding. The faculty is approachable. The students feel free to contact them for any topic they find difficult to understand.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.
