Except some but most of the teachers are very kind and helpful

Asking for fees even before samester starts

Course Curriculum Overview

Relevance of course and curriculum according to semester is good but some the add extra moocs courses which are burden to our studies like in my 6th semester which is very deciding semester they alloted us Quantum Mechanics as our moocs courses which is of 4 credit which affects a lot

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am 21 batch student and my semester fees is 90000+2500 examination fees so total 92500 but If you got scholarship it was very beneficial for you the only thing you need to manage is your 7.5 cgpa for your scholar ship

Campus Life

College life in Cu is good lots of fests, cultural events, are going on many celebrities will came to University so college life is good at Chandigarh University different camps were also organised at University

Admission

There is not that much hard to get addmission in CU you just need 60% in your PCM in 12th to get admission in CU and the addmission procedure is so smooth you have to just pay the fees and get the addmission

Faculty

Faculty to students ratio is good you can say that for every subject we have good enough teachers So in Cu for every 2-3 floor we have around 20 sections and for that we have one academic coordinator and around 15 group of teachers do teachers to student ratio is fine . And from that group of teachers is PhD and many are post grad some teachers are very good but some are so-so it's all on your luch which teacher you got

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

From the second year itself students are eligible for campus placements and the companies right now visited are more than 80 + like Amazon Google Microsoft etc the highest package right now in our college 2.5 crore right now as a fresher more than 80% are getting placements which I can I can see and many used to start they own startups and get success in their field as help you teachers them and give them opportunity to learn and do startups and my plan after getting a degree is if you get a placement and huge packages and get a experience from them and to start my own business

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

I didn't apply to any other college. I chose it because it was close to my home. The admission process to give CUCAT exam for which the fees is 1000 rupees. The passing marks are 40 out of 100.
