Likes

The only thing which I liked in my college is that teachers are really very dedicated towards teaching.
You get to meet with people of really different cultures which is good for personality development.

Dislikes

Campus area is very small so not a good experience.
You get treated as school kids by everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course which they are teaching is very up to date. There are many subjects for which we have to give practicals only which is good that we have to gain only practical knowledge. Also the curriculum gets updated every 3 years.

Placement Experience

Students can start doing internship from second year from their own. And college gives opportuinites from 3rd year for internship. And from 4th year student become eligible for campus placements. Students get placed .

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is different for different branches and also for specialization . We have to give srmjeee exam , base on its ranking some students can get scholarships. Also iin particular branch student who isgetting highest marks can also apply for scholarship.

Campus Life

Campus size is not so large. Computer labs are so best here. There is a central library also. Technical as well as culutural fests are organized time to time. All classrooms are having smart board and all classes have ac facilities. There are many clubs as well in college.

Hostel Facilities

There are three seater and two seater rooms available of both ac and non ac type. There is seperater hostel block for first year. From second year students can leave with their seniors also. Mess food is nice in the beginning of session. But as time passes quality start to degrade gradiently. Bathroom is attached to each and every room. If someone is having no ac room they get a stand fan also.

Hostel Fee: INR 110000 per year

Admission

Any student who has got passed and score above 60% marks in 12th class with PCM can appear for SRMJEEE. Application form is available on official site of SRM. This exam takes place in 3 phase every year.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is almost 1:20. Faculty is really nice as they are always available to solve doubts. Beside doubts, they guide for other things also what we can do in future. In all around 80% teachers are very nice and they are always there to help you.

College life and it's reality

Placement Experience:

Highest package in our college is 50-60 lpa meanwhile average package is 7-8 lpa and many people don't even sit for placements as they have another plans like higher education or buisness but placement percentage is around 70 -80 percent

There are many placements opportunities provided by the campus. Many companies like samsung, google visit the campus but only take the top candidates. Highest package offered last year was around 33 LPA and average package is around 7-8 LPA. Almost everyone gets placement after the course so thats a good thing.

Campus placement is offered in college but not all students get on campus placement only some students get and others have to search for off campus placement you have to be in top 10 in your branch to get a on campus placement as the competition is very high

Placement Experience:

From 7th Semster Students are eligible to sit in the Campus placements. Students are eligible only if they have 8CGPA in every year. In past there were many companies like Amazon , adobe , Mahindra and many more , Highest on campus placement was of 56Lac/year , Average placement : around 5lac/year. Around 20% students are really placed in this college. My personal opinion is to get a job from either outside or oncampus placement and save for my Masters to do it from abroad.

Sweet and Salty Journey of GCET.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Preferred this course because I saw a great scope in this. Artificial Intelligence is our future so it is having great scope for the future. Faculty: Student Ratio is Good means the no. of Teachers is enough for every course. They all are having good qualifications and are very helpful. The term exams were quite easy and you will not find any difficulty in passing.

I had my confirmed admission in NIET,IPEC in my desired branch but in JSSATE I was unable to get my desired branch and same goes for GCET. I also applied in AKGEC but got rejected due to less marks.
