Course Curriculum Overview

3

I was influenced by some specific subjects like human resource, international business, cost and corporate accounting etc, but DU curriculum dissappointed me in many ways. The curriculum not at all prepares one for any industry related work or job, however some key concepts can be foundational for higher pursuits in same field. The curriculum should be more realistic amd practical rather than just theory, a lot of improvements should be made to make a students industry ready. The frequency of exams was once per semester i.e. once every 6 months. Exams were easy to moderate level, if one has studies good.

Placement Experience

2.5

After 4th semester, students become eligible for placements. A no. of companies like MyCaptain, Byjus, HDFC, ICICI and other small sized firms visited college for placements. Highest offer was 6L p.a. while the lowest was 1.8L p.a. A near about 20% students were placed. While most of the students opted for higher studies or abroad studies, only some of the students were interested in placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were no hikes in fees, it was consistently same throughout the degree. Total expenses incurred on this degree were 60k. Financial aide is available for students of low income families, girls and handicapped students. While i havnt took any campus placements, but there were students who took placemnts, average package was 2.6l.

Campus Life

3.5

Fest and events are best part of this college, SURLOK & TASHI are annual fests held in march every year while other events takes place all around the year. Library is most resourceful and facility abundant here, all the books and journals are readily accessible , staff is too supportive here. Classrooms are well equipped with Smartclass systems, AC in some classrooms, wifi, laptop facility. While college does not itself has sports ground, a sports complex has been alloted to college in ITO. Sports teams are active in all university level competitions. There are a lot of societies in college, some of them run by students while other have professors as convenors and counsellor with them.

Admission

Eligibility for the course if 10+2 with CUET UG entrance test. Application form is available on DU official website. The exams were happened once per semester i.e. once every 6 months. Difficulty level of exams were easy to moderate. Du curriculum should be improved.

Faculty

4.5

Average Faculty ratio was 35:1 . The faculty was well qualified with at least masters and some experience while some professors were PHD or pursuing PHD. The teachers were extremely approachable, helpful and supportive. They help in any work , research seminar , doubts etc.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are average, companies which come to visit are Deloitte, etc. but the highest package offered till now is 3 - 5 lakhs till now. 60 - 70% get placed by the college, otherwise you could always look out for better opportunities yourself and you can also learn new skills, like ai, digital marketing to enhance your cv which could help you get a better job

Well, people have a lot of expectations when they come to take admission in Delhi University College. This college has nothing like what you expect. If you are coming for studies only. Then this is the best option you have. if you want a good exposure and you have others option too then don't go to this college. It's an out off-campus college. If you are getting admission in on-campus clg go for it and if don't go for this at least you are getting Delhi university degree in your hand
