Likes

College has amazing fests and events throughout the year
they are not VERY strict and have easy evaluation
it’s flexible for exams because it’s an autonomous college

Dislikes

some facilities could be improved, and highly suggest getting a white board instead of chalk
the campus is old and does not have much sports facilities
the teachers need to have a better dialect

the courses are well versed. even if the faculty is not able to deliver the course requirements, the whole course is done by the students and the course is really helpful and it is imperative to achieve the skills each subject demands.

there are a lot of opportunities in our college. companies like Barclays and Deutsch bank and wipro and nvidia have come to our college recently for job opportunities and internships. satisfied with the companies.

the college has many placement opportunities. many good companies come in for hiring the students right from the campus. they bring companies that come with a good job offer and good salary. they also help to find internships and encourage the students to get enrolled

Fees and Financial Aid

there are many different schemes for scholarships. the college tries to make it affordable for as many as students they can. general category students pay almost 2 lacs per year but students who come through a quota get massive discounts on the tuition fee

Campus Life

the college infrastructure is small but it's enough. it has a lot of events throughout the year and have a very social and happening college life. no stone is unturned in events and no student is lonely. everyone has friends they celebrate our events with.

Hostel Facilities

the college does not have its own hostel facility. we as students have to look for private hostels such as stanza living or my hostel room. students also live in PGs and flats they have got on rent....

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

the admission process was very smooth. there were no entrance exams to get into VIT. you just need to have a plan of action ready and the college will guide you through the admission process. they check the scores acquired in JEE and CET and 12th boards

Faculty

The faculty is well educated but there are some teachers who are not very cooperative. there are so many good teachers but just a few bad ones discourage the students from being curious to learn by being cocky

Interview Experience

Yes there are group Discussions and interviews taken in our college during end semesters. They also have good externals, who come for invigilation and assess the students based on their talent. they give topics prior for preparation and we randomly get a topic to speak on

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
