Likes

The infrastructure is good for all other departments except B.tech
Campus life is good enough to sustain, no attendance required

Dislikes

There's a bit of politics around against BTech as the university is for language purposes
Course curriculum is outdated so even as the name suggests Ai and DS you won't get the practical knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview

The name itself is Ai and DS but actually, as the field is growing it falls short. It prepares well enough for those 4-5 lpa jobs but you can get better if you put your own investment. Teaching methods should be more practical than theory and the curriculum should be updated from time to time. The exams happen thrice a sem 5th month of the semester, the 3rd for midsem and 4th for the practical exam isn't that hard if you know paper filling process.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 86400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees don't increase by that much at least this year it hasn't but as BTech is self-financed it grows significantly. 86k fees +42k hostel is enough + any other cost you'd like to pay apart from this. You'll get an up scholarship if you're a resident of up. It can go between 50-70k. Campus doesn't provide good jobs and stipends, you've to find them by yourself.

Campus Life

There's an event called cosac that's a yearly fest. And there's doss technica that's happening for the first time in 2024 and it's actually so good for a tier 3 college. The books are easily accessible in the library. There are not too much of facilities in the classroom. And also no official sports activities.

Admission

There was no eligibility last time as they also took direct admission. Come to the university and pay 500 you'll get an application form with admission too. Admission should be strict so that it maintains its level.

Faculty

There are 8 teachers in the BTech department which comprises 200 students. The faculty isn't that good and their way of teaching is good enough. You can easily reach teachers btw and they're available 24/7.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are average and the students get decent packages. Students are eligible for the placements from the very beginning from the 7th semester. The companies visiting hbtu are samsung, exxonMobil, TCS, FMCG, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, Global Logic, Adobe, Paytm, HCL technologies, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Dabur etc. The highest placement was 32 lpa while the average was 7 lpa last year . Last year almost 75% of the students were placed. My plans are to take a good placement from the college and side by side i'm working on my startup idea as well .

Placement Experience:

Usually after 3rd sem, students star getting internships. And for compaines visiting our college, except amazon (they blacklisted us). Almost every top companies do visit the college. Highest package was 59LPA, and the average for cse is 12-13Lpa. 99% students get placements. Many students goes abroad for mtech after graduating from snu, i'd like to do the same but after getting a year or two job experience.

the college is good and affordable fees for all

the placement of college is good because mid of 7th semester company visit in a campus and many comapnies are come in college like maruti suzuki, TATA, HERO motors,schlumberger ,crompton,tricolite ,cummins ,etc 40-50 company visit in campus and the heighest package is 12lpa and lowest is 3.6 lpa and the student have 60% in average of all 6 semester and 90% student have placed after the degree my plan is a good rank in GATE and masters from IIT colleges

I did not apply can collage because my aim is very clear I wanted to join a government collage . That why this is my first collage where I take admission . No , did not rejected fron any collage, This is my first choice after my 12th . For BTech there is 3 type to take admission here ,1st one is crack jee means in jee you have to take 80%ile- 90%ile for admission , 2nd one is to crack CUET exam in required subjeect like (PCM) and in this exam you got 85 to 90 %ile then you are eligible here for the admission.Last one is seat in University self exam and this exam you got 70% for the admission.
