IET Lucknow Review

The curriculum covers a wide range of core topics along with some non credit subjects like python , cybersecurity and UHV . Since I have been always enthusiastic about the electrical subjects and their applicability , the curriculum matches with my background knowledge very well. Curriculum covers the thoretical knowledge along with practical knowledge of the subject. Time to time seminar and webinar by the industrialist , and other spokesperson really helps us to prepare ourselves for real - world application. The areas of improvement are the labs , some labs need to be renewed and the topic for the lab should also needs to be updated. Each semester contains two Class test(CT) and one final semester paper , the difficulty level for the CT is easy to modearte and difficulty level for semestrs are moderate to tough. Along with this there are assessment test after completion of every unit by the professors.

There are lots of service based and product based companies along with the startups that visits the campus every year. Tata communications , HP , IBM etc are the top recruiters of our college for the year 2024 . The average package offered by the companies are around INR 6,00,000 . The highest package is offerred by 14 - 16 lpa by Contlo in year 2024. Around 40 percent of the students are placed each year . Many students opt for higher studies or prepare for any other competitive exams too. My plan is to opt for higher studies after completing my graduation. Since the college is a state govt college , the fees of the institute are moderate . Fees for second year to final is almost same for branches except CSE AI and SF . The fees are INR 84775 (except CSE SF and AI) and hostel fees is INR 14500 and mess fees is 19000, which is submitted every semester. Also there is a HMC amount of INR 4000 which is submitted once a year if one opt for the hostel. The fees for the CSE SF and AI are 99775 , and rest of the fees are the same. Overall fees for one year including hostel , mess and HMC is INR 141275 and INR 156275 for cse sf and ai . For first year addition admission charge. However there are some fees waiver seats in each branches whose fees is low as INR 25000 and rest all the fees for hostel , mess and HMC are same. Other than this if one is a resident of UP with family income less than INR 2,50,000 they can apply for UP scholarship. Campus have thier own IIC and NNF which supports any startup ideas and help them financially to boost them.

There is annual fest namely Encore which is held once a year which is also the largest fest of AKTU is held in IET Lucknow. Along with that each branch have their own departmental fest every year . The Central library is well equipped with all the books of engineering along with books from several domain . Magazines , Newspapers , Journals are also updated on daily basis . Central library is quite spacious and offers study area which is operational from 11:00 Am to 7:00 PM . one can also issue books from library on thei library card which is issued for 15 days . There is special provison for SC/ST students they can issue the books for 6 months on their library card. There are well equipped computer labs with high speed internet availibility. Apart from that our college have several clubs like Insaniax club for dance , Swaranjali for Music , Auroras for Instrumental , Sports club , taekwindo club , Parmarth etc which overall impacts the social life of students.

Every year students are alloted different hostel , for first year the hotel alloted is Ramanujan Hostel which is considerd to be the best hostel of IET Lucknow where four seated rooms are alloted with all the basic amenities, like cupboard , switch board, lights, fans , table , chairs, bed etc in the room. Every day two time meal and two time snacks are given . which is overall good in quality . From second year Aryabhatta hostel is alloted where rooms are below average and food quality is also moderate . Aryabhtta hostel is three seated room. From third year to final years rooms are alloted on the basis of CGPA. If CGPA is comparitively good students are alloted blocks namely (A,B,C,D,E) which are written in ordered form , the rooms in the block are single seated and good food . rest of the students are alloted the Kailash Narayan hostel in the third year which is a three seated room. however there is no official mess in Kailash narayan hostels students are allotted mess in the blocks

The admission in B.tech pogramme is conducted on the basis of JEE Mains marks and it is conducted once a year . Counselling for the same is conducted under UPTU counselling. cutoffs for each category , forms and any other important dates and documents for admission are upadated on the college website. Admission process is easy and smooth , one have to arrive at the college at the prescribed time along with all the mentioned documents on the websites . The administration is really helpful and supportive .

Faculty members are well qualified and have experince in their domain. Faculty to student ratio is well balanced in every branches. Faculty members teaches their part very well and they are also very cooperative and helpful.They are approachable too , if someone needed to consult or talk them in private they can simply ask the faculty members for the same.There are mentorship programms by faculty members too , they are allotted with a batch of students to whom the students and their mentee can directly connect too.
