My gen z college life

The curriculum in nift is really really vast. It will end up teaching u every thing i mean everything. From dancing singing acting designing etc. To things like patience resilience sleepless nights etc. I feel like sometimes we are overloaded with work that can be reduced a bit.

So in third year we have to go for internship as it is part of the curriculum. We are asked to make a collection for whatever brand we are working wirh. They don't really help in getting internship u have to use ur own contacts and sources to get internship.

They do provide in campus and off campus placements. I have seen people placed in big big companies like raymond and Westside and all. But mostly people don't sit for placements they start there own business or firm or they take a job in one of these companies or work under some famous designer.

Fee is relatively high if u compare to other national government colleges. It's around one lakh and thirty five or forty five pwr semester. Yes they do provide scholarship facility but that can only be availed by the students who's parents annual income is less than four lakhs. This course is definitely not affordable for people who are not rich enough.

It is a national college right so it's a blend if culture over here. We celebrate holi diwali ganesh chaturthi onam especially and every other festival i guess. In that way our college is very culturally rich. We have a resource centre here where u can get all sorts of fashion related books like fashion forecasting books also which only available in our college. We have mac labs sewing labs and many more. We have two annual fest called spectrum and converge. In spectrum its intra college in which department fight with each other in sports fashion show and many more. And in converge it's inter college. We have wave community which is basically of selected people those who are like really really good for dance drama and all. Other than that we have ess club cultural club literary club etc.

We have two hostels inside campus and outside campus. Outside campus hostel is entirely for first years and tge inside hostel us for second third year people. We have ac and non ac rooms. We have a mess here and gym also and a utility room. Ac rooms has attached bathroom and its three sharing. And non ac rooms has common washrooms and again it's three sharing. In mess we get breakfast lunch dinner and snacks. Food is average.

So first u have to be under 23 age if u are applying for bachelor's and u have to prepare for CAT abd GAT which is creative ability test and general ability test. In CAT there will be three questions of drawing basically have to attempt in three hours and in GAT there will basic maths gk and reasoning u have to attempt it in two hours. After u pass CAT and GAT then only u can give situation test which is a craft based exam in three hours. And then the final result come after this process. Obviously there us reservation benifita for sc st people a lot of benifits because they have around 27% of reservation which i feel is unfair because the general people end up in trouble.

The faculties here are really really approachable atleast i feel that. They can be ur best friend or ur worst enemy too. U can easily ask doubts to them. If u are close to a faculty so they can sometimes have ur back. They all are highly educated and qualified.

We didn't have any GD or PI we had situation test round which is entirely based on ur craft creativity level. I took classes for situation test preparation. Which made me learn material handelling and exploration with different materials.
