Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to Pursue aeronautics but as it is a narrow field, I chose to be in mechanical engineering. It not only helps me gain insights into aeronautics but also allows me to gain knowledge in various other fields especially robotics and drones which are highly emerging these days. I feel the number of industrial visits should be increased. Considering 5 months semester Test 1 after 1.5 months- medium Test 2 after 3 months - difficult Viva starting of 5th month-easy Semester end exam at 5th-month end - medium

Internships Opportunities

4

There were companies who offered internship like Schneider, Tata Motors, ford, milacron, Werley etc Schneider: 35000/ month Bureau of Indian standard 20000/month. The project varies from company to company however these help students to get industrial exposure.

Placement Experience

4

Student get eligible for placement from semester 7 however it may vary based on companies requirements. Many reputed company that hired from department of mechanical engineering were reliance, Deloitte, tata motors, hindustan Unilever etc. Highest package 12lpa, Lowest package 4lpa Almost 95% students are placed for placement season 2024. Planning to get placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees have been the same for the last few years, there is not much hike in fees. Semester fees: 94000 Stationery: 1500(on an average) Books: 2000-2500 (optional) Financial aid 2 types of scholarships provided by the college 1. Based on merit 2. Based in merit cum means There is also an earn-while-you-learn scheme to help students.

Campus Life

5

There are numerous societies and club at the university and they organise various technical, cultural and sports events now and then. The few events are Praveg - when Vijay rupani ex cm of Gujarat, Nirmala sitaraman etc visited the fest. Technocalypse Aarambh etc etc Nirma funds all the club. For example, there is a club called SAE club and Nirma funds 1cr annually to the club for the development of various vehicles like ATVs, rc planes, drones, mini satellites etc for students. These help students in all-round development as students from various departments work together to build skills like team work leadership communication etc. There is a Wi-Fi facility, library facility, and projector in each class for interactive learning

Admission

Admission is based on either of two eligibility 1. Jee score ( approx 90 percentile) 2. Acpc round ( approx rank 4000 to 12000) There are reservation norms as followed by the education board. There is no separate exam for admission. I feel the admission process is pretty smooth.

Faculty

4.5

1. The faculty to students ratio is approximately 1:20. On an certain interval there is faculty student interaction to help students with problems. 2. Majority faculties here have done PhD and have essential knowledge and skills. 3. Except for one or two teachers all the teachers are students friendly.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements after the completion of 8th semester only. No such good companies are visiting for hireing the students. Students have to find by their own. The highest package is around 3-4 lakh and average is around 2 lakh per anum. The students aren't placed well. Most students are enrollimg by their own (off campus). I want to go for a master degree after completion of current bachelor degree.

Placement Experience:

The placements of pdeu are good , but not as good as compared to Nirma University and daiict . The average package of computer science is around 15 lpa and highest is 38 lpa. I think if you have a cgpa over 8.5 and have the skill that is required by the recruiter Company, there is a better chance of you getting a placement. This year , around 40 students out of 120 got placed in good companies.
