Remarks

Overall the college is an average engineering college. The only negative point is its location. Outside the campus, it is not safe for girls. although there is a police jeep every time outside the gate so it makes us feel safe! Inside the campus, it is a completely safe and friendly environment.

Entrance Preview

Northern India engineering college ( now known as ADGITM), it is in top 10 IPU affiliated colleges. It was also near to my house. Many of my friends were in this college which made it very easy for me to catch up with seniors and gave me a friendly environment. And yes obviously I got IT here :) that's the main reason

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It is innovative. most programs start with general courses in sciences and engineering and then migrate to specialized courses for the disciplines. While these courses are indeed foundational for many engineering disciplines, they are not foundational for IT - rather they can be treated as application domains as is evident from the fact that most sciences and engineering disciplines now heavily use IT

Internships Opportunities

No, our college does not provide the internship. However, it is compulsory for the btech student to do a minimum of three internships to qualify for a job. We have to find it ourselves

Placement Experience

2.5

It is quite satisfactory. Not many big companies come here but good companies like Infosys visit the campus every year. This year also 160 students were placed into Infosys. The minimum package varies from 2-3lac/annum. With 3.5 lac being the Average and the highest package offered till date is 8lacs

College Events

2.5

Although unofficial fresher's parties are conducted every year by the students no official fresher's were conducted for our batch. There is tech fest by the IEEE society. The cultural fest is not too common. But the Main IPU University fest is simply amazing and we go there every year. Teachers day is celebrated every year for the faculty. Not much events are organized but yes students organize workshops etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite decent for a course like BTech. The average fee is 1lac. So for students who are not much well off for studying inexpensive University like BITS, it is a boon. Also, you can apply for student loan. There is a decent relaxation for the payment of fees for the next year. They give you a month time and after that fine is charged according to per day which is 5-10Rs. So yes it is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about it much but yes students can avail student loan from the bank which is in the campus itself.

Campus Life

3

The environment inside the campus is safe and friendly. Seniors are helpful. The various societies can be seen practicing or working around the campus. The gender ratio is 1:4, the majority being the male gender here. There is a debating society which organizes debate competitions. All the societies are very competitive and sports trails are conducted for freshers every year. The students have bought many laurels to the college! Robotics is uncommon here. But yes they do have a society for all of those who are into robotics, aeronautics, and space. Labs are generally subject orientated.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is no hostel in the college. Most of the students are from Delhi only. But there are of course pgs around the area(Just behind the college) There is access to everything in and around the college area. The food depends on pg. I can't say much about the food

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni meet is also organized every year. The seniors are very friendly, nice and fun! They guide you well. I know many alumni myself. They are a great motivation for me honestly!

Exam Structure

The ipu conducts the semester exams. We have to go to the center declared for the college which may change every year. There is 2 faculty in each room and there can be a case on the student if caught using unfair means in the exam. The exam occurs in 2 shifts for a different year.

Admission

First, I have to appear in an IPU CET exam which was conducted in April just after the board exams. I had to go to a Paschim Vihar school to give that test. A month later the results were out and based on your ranking first, the second, third cutoff was out. I got IT in the third cutoff in admit. There is a spot round also in which in you can try on vacant seats. It's all about your luck there!

Faculty

2.5

They are helpful. Some of them are a little bit strict but all the teachers are friendly and they also give good marks in internal and appreciate the efforts of students. They are a little strict about bunking.but some teachers are cool and don't make that a big issue. Also, some of the faculty members are very knowledgeable. but to be honest I get bored in some classes.

Placement Experience:

Placements cell works for the placements but gets bare minimum or very low profile courses. Students become eligible to apply in third year. I dont have the data because I didn't apply for the placements. Avg package is around 400000 that also in low profile jobs. % of students placed is also very low. My plans after the degree is to either pursue MBA from tier 1 college or continue/start a business/family business as it is best time in india to pick pace
