Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's good. The curriculum contains all subjects that we need in professional practices. In my opinion, this college must organize some more practical and workshop sections. Already there are some, but insufficient. Exams happening regularly. They conducting class testes frequently. But it's not happening after a few months from all new semester beginnings. They also conducted a series of exams. They are two per semester. I will happen to time. Never ever yet, its got suspended.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yes. Bachelor of architecture has two internship periods, having 1-year total duration. I have completed my first internship at Kochi. My next internship will only happen during my final semester. The stipend is up to firms we working. Most of my batchmates didn't get any stipend because most of the architectural firms not providing stipends for interns. No placement is for the architecture department. But there are placement provisions for engineering and MBA departments. As far as I know, architecture has still a job opportunity in both India and abroad. Architects can work in architecture and allied fields related to construction.

College Events

1.5

We celebrate Onam, the national festival of Kerala. We celebrate Christmas. We never yet celebrated any other festivals yet. We conduct various competitions related to those celebrations. We conducted intercollege architectural workshops. We conducted engineering fests. We are going to conduct auto show soon. We are going to conduct another intercollege architecture workshops and fest soon.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In architecture, 80 thousand for government seats. In architecture 1 lakh fifty thousand to one lakh sixty thousand for management seats. Fees structures for NRI may be varied to batches. Deposits are two lakh per seat for management seats. Its expensive amount. But related to management seats of other colleges, it's not much expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships are provided by the college. If we need any scholarship, we have to search our own and find it. I never saw anything related to scholarships there.

Campus Life

3

No much extracurricular activities. NSS is only for the engineering department. No for the architecture department. Only academics are happening there. Labs are good. No much promotion for sports from the side of college.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are usually helping like friends in academics to study. When I was a junior, we went to help them by assisting on their projects. As like that, they gave us better guidance to improve.

Admission

I wrote a NATA exam. First, I got admission in Tamilnadu. Due to some health-related issues, I can't be okay with the climate of Tamil Nadu. Then I searched about colleges in Kerala and found this. We went to this college with certificates, mark lists etc and they made an interview. After I was selected in that interview, I joined there.

Faculty

3.5

To be frank, not all are good at teaching. But some others are extraordinary. All of them are graduated masters degree from national colleges. This college has both experienced and fresh teachers. All teachers are architects or engineers. They took matters in their own fields of teaching.

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college. The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels
