Course Curriculum Overview
This course is quite demanding in the market and it also fits my interests. This curriculum includes various aspects of computer engineering and it helps us to get market ready. The examinations conducted are quite frequent, there are 4 assessment in one semester (pre unit test, unit test, 2nd pre unit test and end semester examinations)
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are very less and most of the students prefer to do it on their own. There are various minor projects that are to be submitted by the students in each semester and one major project that is to be submitted in the last semester of the course.
Placement Experience
The students can start applying for college placements from 7th semester onwards. Various companies visit for placement opportunities. The highest package was 24L for one year. The percentage of students getting college placements is very low considering the competition in this field. My plans are to join the army, but keeping the engeneering field as a backup.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the course in our college in 117750/- Rs for one year and the fees for the hostel accommodation is 110000/-Rs for one year depending on the type of accommodation we avail. There are various scholarships provided depending on the ration card and other BPL scholarships. I have been given the role of sports incharge of my college depending on my performance in various sports activities.
Campus Life
The campus life is quite enjoyable, there are various annual events and festivals that are conducted with various performances for entertainment. The library has a lot of books including the books of syllabus and other extra knowledge that is to be gained by the students. The classrooms are fitted with smart boards for deep and thorough study. There are various clubs for dance, acting and other clubs for various purposes.
Hostel Facilities
There are various types of accommodation depending on the number of people and the air conditioning. The price of my room is 110000/-Rs for one year (triple share AC). The quality of the food is bad and tasteless. There are various PGs and accommodation but the hostel accommodation is the best along with the group of peers living together.
Admission
The eligibility of this course was considered using the marks scored in the JEE examination. There were various online counseling conducted to secure the seat in the Indraprastha University and college on the basis of the marks scored in the exam. Exams are conducted quite frequently and they are moderately difficult.
Faculty
The faculty to student is quite acceptable, some of the faculty members are good with work and the education they provide but some of them are not that qualified and lack in knowledge they are supposed to provide.I interact with the teachers living with us in the hostel and they are a feasible approach at any point of time.
