KIET has a swag.

I did BCA and therefore MCA became an automatic choice for me. The curriculum is an extension of what I studied in BCA. Areas of improvement would be that there are some unnecessary subjects and compulsory electives makes it really tough. As I have mentioned earlier the skill development classes should be mandatory for PG students, if that is accomodated in this course, then it will become the most sought after course.

From the third semester placements were started and TCS was the mass recruiter. Other companies such as Google, Capegemini, Happiest Minds and others also visited the campus and offered MCA students thae offers similar to that of B.Tech students. One trivia that MCA students were chosen over B.Tech students. Placements percentage was close to 100% as almost everyone was given a fair shot and most of us had placements sorted through campus itself.

Fees is little high but still less than other private colleges that I thought of taking admissions in. The best scholarship that I found was that if we score well in semester, we were given good enough discount. I love it when hard work is appreciated as rest scholarships were based on caste and economic grounds.

The techno cultural fest of KIIT was the best fusion of art and technology. A special mention to campus societies as many of them worked for social causes. One society named SAE was awarded by NASA and students were invited there. This was by far the biggest achievement in my knowledge and hence societies of the university have made a huge impact on students life at KIET.

Graduation in science stream was must and computer as a subject was mandatory. Nobody who did BA or B.Com can take up this course at KIET. The admission process was by far the best as I went straight to admin office admission department and after filling the form and fees the admission was granted then and there itself.

All the faculties of KIET has solid engineering background. If one attends lectures regularly i don't think he/she to approach professors for any doubts or anything. However, if one have any, the professors are always ready to help. I interacted with them quite often and they were very friendly and helpful tooo.
