Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at Trident has some good points but could use a bit of tweaking. Some subjects really drew me in when I chose this course they seemed very practical and relevant to what I wanted to do after graduation. However, there are a few areas where I think the curriculum could be more comprehensive, especially in terms of hands-on experience and newer technologies. In terms of real-world applications, the curriculum does cover the basics well, but I feel it could do more to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Maybe adding more industry projects or internships could help with this.As for improvements, I think the teaching methods could be more engaging. More interactive sessions or workshops could make the classes more interesting and help us understand concepts better. The exams here are okay in terms of frequency, but some of them can be pretty challenging. It'd be nice to have a bit more balance in difficulty level across different subjects.
Internships Opportunities
At our college, students have the chance to intern with leading companies like TechGiant Solutions, Innovate IT Services, and FutureTech Innovations. For example, at TechGiant Solutions, students work on coding projects and software testing, gaining experience in Java and Python. Innovate IT Services offers roles in web development, focusing on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular. Meanwhile, FutureTech Innovations provides opportunities in network security, where students work on tasks like monitoring networks and implementing cybersecurity measures. Projects might involve developing mobile apps, redesigning websites, or enhancing network security. These internships help students gain practical skills and prepare for future careers in tech. It also gives campus placements from big companies like TCS, Infosys and Wipro but the ratio is not that high.
Placement Experience
Yes our college do gives campus placements. From the 7th semester students get campus placements. It is heard that more than 80% of the students get placement in our college from a branch which is pretty good. The average package is 4lpa where the highest is 30lpa. After the degree I will try to get a job in the placements and they continue my studies in masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is increasing every new year. But with respect to it there are no such improvement in the building or teaching aids. They randomly give you a notice about fine for late fees deposit without any proper warning. I mean I know that it's better to give fees in time but sometimes we forgot about it in our busy life so it will be better giving proper warning before the fine. But the good part is it reminds us about many good scholarships which are available in the market by private sector companies or government sector. One of them are medhabruti yojna. It also gives us good campus. And the it's a record that more than 80 % of students gets there job after their graduation.
Campus Life
The Campus and the functions are so good here. There are a lot of technical festivals which held every year in our college. Ex:- Hackathon. Almost every books are available in our library and the main thing is we can use it for free are return it after the end sem. In the classrooms we have projectors in every classroom which helps us to study in a better way. every year a fest held in our college named Trifest. Which is the annual fest of our college. So basically in this fest we do all the extra curricular activities such as sports, dance, drama, eSports gaming etc. Also our college has literally every type of clubs such as coding club, communication club (speech wavers), drama club, dance club, music club, electronics club etc. It really helps us to up skill our skills.
Hostel Facilities
As a first-year student, I'm currently staying in the hostel at our college. The hostel rooms provide essential amenities like a bed, study table, and cupboard, which is comfortable for daily living. However, one drawback is the inconsistency in the quality of food and water. While the hostel menu offers a variety of dishes, the taste and freshness of the food can be inconsistent at times. Similarly, there have been occasional issues with the quality of drinking water.Despite these challenges, the hostel registration process was smooth, and the affordability of the hostel fees makes it a convenient option for staying on campus. The hostel's location within the college campus also enhances accessibility to academic facilities and student activities.Overall, staying in the Trident hostel as a first-year student has its pros and cons, with room for improvement in certain aspects like food and water quality. That's it. For the first year I will suggest that it will better if you stay here.
Admission
The admission process was a little bit easy. All we have to do is book a seat their in advance by giving 20k (refundable) or just by applying the counseling. Yes it has reservation benefits. Sc/St can get the seat even if they secured low marks than general. The time gap between one to another semester exam is approximately 4 months. And yes the exams are a little bit difficult as it is being held by BPUT not by our own college. The admission process is already great but one thing is the administrative officers are big manipulators. They always think about their benefits and suggest you that course in which the seats are not filling up fast.
Faculty
The teachers at my college are pretty good overall. The classes aren't too crowded, so you can get some one-on-one time if you need it. They seem to know their stuff and often share practical insights from their industry experience, which makes learning more interesting. They're also approachable outside of class, though with so many students, it's best to catch them during office hours for more personal help. Some of them are not so friendly but most of them are so overall experience is good.
