Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is not that much stressful to be. It helps in gaining knowledge for one. Few courses may have quizzes in between the mid SEM and end SEM to make sure the students to revise a little about the syllabus. Mid SEM and end SEM exams for every course exists. In between, quizzes or assignments are up to the wish of the professors. It never felt stressful.
Internships Opportunities
Projects are held by courses as a part of class. Internship opportunities occur in a wide way which makes most of the student to get internship at the end of 3rd year. As I am a fresher I don't know well about the companies recruiting but sure that most students get internship.
Placement Experience
At the 7th semester students usually get eligible for placement. In CSE branch , as of which I am studying, there is a 95 percentage of getting placed. Average package in my branch is around 30 lakhs per annum and highest hit around 65 lakhs per annum. My plans after getting degree are to be thought.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee structure for a semester would be Rs.135000 per student that means an Rs.370000 per year which gives nearly Rs.12 lakhs for the whole 4 years course. This is the complete cost for food, hostel, tuition fee. This fee would be reduced by your own category and income for your family. Stipends of good amount would be awarded to the students pursuing it.
Campus Life
Fluxus is the biggest annual festive held in our campus which is a 3 day fest. This is an exclusive one which includes 2 DJ nights with some singers. And events like lakshya, apnaculture, etc held with a 1-2 day span Books and journals are much available in library for everyone to get a better research. Every sport has its own club and coach to teach students in a better way . Clubs of different culture and sports exists for a better impact on students life.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostels are one of the best hostels in all IITs The rooms look luxurious which provides 4 washrooms for 8 persons which include 2 for bathing. Hostel fees are included in the fee structure which would be about Rs.20000 per semester. The quality of meal is not outstanding but just an average eatable one. Fans are provided in hostel rooms. Hot and Coldwater for both drinking and bathing are available
Admission
As this is an IIT , the admission us through JEE advance exam followed JOSAA which is a part of government work. Reservations as applied in whole country for SC/ST/OBC/PWD or low income people applies the same here as well. The difficulty level of exams are a little above the level as every college does. As said earlier exams are conducted twice in a semester for sure and assignment and quiz in between the courses are wish of professor
Faculty
Every student here would have a faculty advisor. This faculty advisor have several students to deal with. We can reach out to them whenever there is a need. Teaching professors help us in every way. Every time we need of them we can interact with them via ta s . The faculty is very much experienced here.
