Course Curriculum Overview

3

This curriculum of study does not make you a star in your field its a basic study of the course. The main worry with this course and curriculum was its not well structured several subjects that are not needed for the course are in the syllabus which makes it harder to concentrate on main subjects which will earn you real money in the world. Structuring of the syllabus is needed, removal of certain subjects and giving more importance to practicals is the main need of the hour. Exams on the other hand are tough, the college does not allow for any type of malpractice to happen during the examinations. Though the last year when people were giving their back exams that time there was an impression among students that the invigilators are less strict on the students

Placement Experience

2.5

Only one branch of the college was getting placements (CS Branch), companies like TCS and other small companies came for campus recruitments where other branches were also allowed to sit for recruitment. The highest package of the college was around the 6lakh mark that a cs student had acquired. The percentage of students getting placements was very less(30%) which in result had students do other courses also to achieve employment. My plans were same as some other students. I also went for another certification through which eventually i got a job offer.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were no incerements in course fees in my time of study there though we were charged an extra amount for pre-placement training which was of no use. The PPT classes were of no use to anyone of my knowledge. The complete cost of my education was somewhere around 4Lkh there including all the semester fees and practical costs and other small amounts which were given during the college fests. I availed a scholarship during my time in my college which was funded by the state government. The scholarship actually helped me in paying for the college fees which was relief. Campus recruitments were very less only one specific branch of the college was getting recruitments which was computer science all other branches did not see that many campus drives which was very disappointing as more of the students were forced to other do courses to achieve employment.

Campus Life

3.5

There were tech fests conducted each year which was the only thing the students of our college bonded on. It was a great bonding activity across all the branches. Almost all the books required for studying were available in the library and it was a smooth process in getting them. We were provided library cards which kept record of the time we had possessed the book and a fine was levied if the book was not returned on time. Any kind of sports was encouraged in the college and had regular competitions which was appreciated by us. There were several student groups which allowed us students to get our message to the administration. Some of them were good and some them only engaged in unsocial activities.

Admission

Admission Eligibility for the course was very low and easy as this was a tier 2 college in our city where much importance was given to admitting more students. Application forms were available both online and offline so that was easy. There was a small application fee of 50 rupees which was an application processing fee. I received the benefit of reservation not directly from the college but the state government itself. The timing of exams was the same as the other colleges. The admission process was fairly easy just had to choose the specific branch and fill in all the details of admission.

Faculty

4

Teaching is good in this institute, teachers are well versed with their subjects and if one wants to learn they can easily get the guidance they need. There was a shortage of teachers one year in my time where we had one teacher teach two subjects which led to less understanding and frustration among the students. Our interactions with the faculty was good, almost every teacher was accessible in their way. The same can be told about the HOD's and Dean who are well manered and catered to the students difficulties in their own way making it a fun experience and learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.
