Extraordinary campus life I got from this college along with friendly teachers
Infrastructure is also nice.There are total 3 campus splitted apart.Main campus is in centre of city while other 2 are situated 6 km apart
Good friends and good Atmosphere to stay and study together.

Dislikes

3 campus situated apart so that department present thera are not easily accessible.
Car parking space are also in the same playground.
Playground is small so that limitations are there for conducting sports competition.

Course Curriculum Overview

Ayurveda medical degree or BAMS is a medical course has the same importance as that of MBBS.Students are taking the degree after having written the 4 final exams which is syllabus based.And 1 year internship also there for improving skills of a practitioner.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are no such companies offered under internship. Internship stipend is given by the university. All papers should be cleared so that internship can be done for students. Only after completion of internship,medical degree is awarded

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee of undergraduation include 23000 approx.in govt.colleges per year and in private it may be 50000.Also scholarship is there for e grant students and scheduled caste students.Stipend is also given to students during internship.

Campus Life

Intercollege competition regarding arts,sports,etc being conducted among colleges under same university.A wise range of traditional books and modern books are present and easily available to students for reference and learning.

Hostel Facilities

Every day starts with a delicious breakfast and ended with a awesome dinner.Both non vegetarian and vegan food are seperated based on type of food a person prefer.Registration to hostel based on a form filled to college during admission and students with home location is far from college get admission to hostel 1st..there lies the preference.

Admission

Admission to Medical colleges based on the Entrance examination results. Higher the ranks, admission will be done to clinical department and postgraduation diploma courses also availed based on the rank which attained from the exam.Online application can be submitted for applying exam.Reservation based on category and Physical disability also present.All india entrance examination is conducted once in a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ayurveda is also very important part of medical field. It brings a lot of treatment aspects and life style betterment. There are practical significance of all the knowledge into life. Hospitals here is very much well equipped and doctors are skillful so it's very good platform for learning to treat the disease and at the same time learning for prevention of disease. Some of the portions should be re evaluate. They should not make shloka compulsory and eliminate some old theories which are not going to accept. Should combined with modern medicine and teach a hybrid model or Intregate course.

The course seems very intresting even though it gives some mental stress. In my opinion syllabus should be a little more oriented And exclude the importance of slogas since it is an unnecessary things to by heart

Course Curriculum Overview:

The latest course curriculum is good as they provide 20 MCQ in every 100 mark paper,so it had become much easy for students to pass the exam. The sloka is mandatory in exams which is a drawback that finds too much time consumption to students and the Sanskrit language is also very difficult. Each exams have 3hrs which is sufficient as only 80 marks questions need to be written reaming 20 marks are MCQ

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose this Course as it is Emerging more Effective in the past Few Years and I believe I could contribute more in this field. Moreover I was Interested in the Ancient Cultural form and the uniqueness of the Science of Ayurvedic Medicines and Treatment Methods. There are 14 Departments in the College including Both Clinical and Non Clinical aspects. Each Department Has about 6-7 Faculties Incuding HOD, Assistant and Associate Professors.At Present there are 5 batches of Students in the Undergraduate Course Excluding the House Surgeons. So about 360 Stuents total.There are about 200 Students in Various Post Graduate Course. The Faculties are appointed through Government Exams and Interviews and are Eligible after the BAMS degree and PG Qualification in respected departments with Experience of teaching. The method of teaching is very Systematic with periodic assessments. As per new NCISM rule term Exams are once in each 18 months and Can be passed through Systemic studying and activity.

In focus of the course it was very clear that ayurveda is more develop in Kerala and this college is situated in the capital . My thought was simple that there will me more patient and It will help me for practical experience. I also kept BHU, ITRA, NIA and few others college too but as my rank was 49k so I didn't get it. For admission in this college you have to crack NEET and according to counseling by AACCC you can get this college. There is 15% all india quota and 85%state quota. Since the admission was from neet ranks I applied for both bhms and bams. First I got admitted to government homeopathy college TVM and then during the later allotment stages I was transferred to government ayurveda College TVM. I got a rejection from kottakkal ayurveda College Malappuram cause of lack of seats there. I got admitted to government dental college Alappuzha but I opt for bams at TVM college.
