IIT Indore College Review

The reason I took Maths and Computing was because I was interested in maths and also this branch is related to CS and there are many job opportunities in this field like Data Analyst. The curriculum of our course is well defined giving chance to students to design our course ourselves like whether we want it to to be math oriented or CS oriented by selecting elective subjects of our own choice. The faculty is also very good and helpful too.

The intership opportunity provided in our college is quite good with good stipand and the company that provided internships also provide with employment later on with good incomes. In our 3rd year we have to work on a project for graduation and academic purposes.

The placement of our college is good with an average of 20 lakhs. The average package for CS branch was around 34 lakhs and for Electrical it was 26 lakhs. The percentage of student getting employed is also very good for CS and electrical branch with a rate of around 85 percent of total students because some students apply for higher studies and some go for off campus placement. My plan is to get a job with around 25 lakhs a year.

The fee for a general category student is around 1 lakh 35 thousand which is good for a govt college but accordingly the rooms and lecture halls and study materials provided are also very good. A scholarship available is provided by govt for SC/ST students and MMVY provided by the Madhya Pradesh govt to students of Madhya Pradesh who scored more than 85 percent in Boards. The employment rate is very good in our college with an average around 19 lakhs overall.

The major fest held every year is the fluxus event which alternates between technical and cultural fest and this year was a technical fest which was held on 7, 8 and 9 of March 2024. The celebrities invited were Sachin-Jigar and Pineapple Express and the uplifted the mood and made the event more anazing. The books provided in the library are vast and the classrooms are well made and the staff is also very good. The sports facilty provided are also good with a specific building and dedicated to sports only which include many sports.

The rooms provided in our hostel are very good and spacious. However, from this year on double rooms were given but fortunately I got a single room becuase my roommate did not come. He was from Engineering Physics branch. The meal provided at mess are good in compared to standard hostels. The registration process for hostels were quite smooth. It was mandatory to reside within the college unless you have health problems and thus it was not possible to locally rent a room.

I took JEE Mains and Advanced and i secured a rank of 4767 in mains (best) and a rank of 2148 in JEE Advanced in General Category. The JEE Mains was held twice a year and I got a percentage of 99.59 percent. The admission process was smooth and it was completed in a day.
