A Story of just another dreamer .

MBBS is tough to conquer , but the hardwork is always worth . I was a NEET Aspirant from a very young age and moved accordingly for coaching and study .After we join , we get thoughts of giving up and feeling of worthlessness, but I would say that it is merely due to exam stress ! Our exam schedules are tight since annual exams are conducted and finished in a week with no study leave , making us stress all through. The exams are conducted by the TNMGRMU yearly for 1st , 2nd , Pre final and Final years .The exams range from moderate to difficult each time . Since I'm in a government college, nobody makes you sit and study , it's you who must push yourself and make it . The course is worth except that you sacrifice your 20's to Treat the Nation !????

Our course has a one year compulsory internship after completing final year MBBS . The stipend is 27000Rs a month pain by the government directly to the students . There are no companies or others involved.

The fee structure when I joined was 4.85 lakhs since the college was semi government then . In a few months the college was announced Government and they changed the fee structure soon . First year Tuition fees were change to 13,000Rs , 2nd year fees to nearly 6000Rs , 3rd Yr to 7000Rs and final year fees to 11,000Rs . Each AIQ College has 15% seats reserved for other state students (AIQ) and other reservations within the state . The hostel fee along with mess charges sum to 1 lakh a year .

There is only a few Fests and Functions conducted in our college. The campus life isn't that colourful but you can enjoy outside campus , there are no restrictions. Annual fest and Sports are the main events organised each year . Study wise the college excels . The library has got all med books and is open to all with facilities to study till 9 pm . No clubs or social groups are encouraged here.

The hostel is a typical Govt hostel aging 40 years. Each room is accommodated by max four and minimum 2 members . The hostel also provides 22 single rooms to final year students . There are two blocks– a two storey and a three storey building. The hostel has a common mess run by students . The meal quality and menu is average . The locality has no hostels , but you can rent houses and flats .

I attempted the NEET 2020 and scored 616 marks ranking AIR 13000 .The NEET exams are easy except for the high competition.I applied for both KEAM and AIQ counselling on the respective websites. In the first state allotments I got selected to a private medical college (Pushpagiri MC , Ktym ) and I joined there, waiting for the second allotments . It was when the AIQ first allotment results were out , with me alloted to Government Erode Medical College,Tamil Nadu .I had to report there since my rank was risky to wait and in border to be selected to a Government College in Kerala . The cutoff for the AIQ Govt colleges was 613 . Once we report to a College in AIQ , we can never go back to state since we sign a bond of 10 Lakhs for discontinuation of the course any time after . And this forces us to stay in the AIQ College we got and not going for higher choices in state and participate in the upcoming counselling happening in the state .This rule has changed now , a boon to many students.
