Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is really good and balanced. Some other topics have been added now. Sports psychology and military psychology are also in the consideration to add up on the curriculum. Rest theoretical knowledge of various brain imaging techniques and also the complete anatomy of brain and nervous system is introduced here. Availablity of EEG machine, fNIRS and Neurofeedback make the course more fascinating and convincing to opt.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Students can go for some ongoing projects in various other universities or research centres like IIT Gandhinagar or NIMHANS Banglore. Students can opt in for some internship or workshop programme outside the India too. The recommendation letter will be provided under a proper procedure by the department. Stipend will depend on the organisation and on the project where you are going for the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Availablity of scholarship is hard to grab, as you have to hunt for it by your own. Although faculty members can guide you in this relevance. Stipend will depend on the external scholarship which you are applying for otherwise University doesn't provide any scholarship or stipend. Charges are okay, it may be a little expensive for some students.

Campus Life

4.5

Sports week, cultural functions and festivals enjoyment are all over here. Social connections can be built in a very good way as a huge population of international students are also here. So you can really get a good interaction and observation regarding the various cultures. Each department has its own fest and traditional day function which is a fun part. Seminars are also conducted simultaneously to promote students for writing papers and articles.

Admission

There is now a change in addmission process from the time of my batch. We had a university entrance test which was conducted at the respective centres in CBT mode. We had then a merit list and also a waiting list. Application fee was 1500 for single paper and students could apply for two or three too. Test difficulty level was at medium level. No interview or GD was conducted at the time. Now addmission is based on your bachelor's final cgpa and merit list. Application forms for different courses start in the month of March and going on to the month of May. Mostly admission takes place in the month of July and final joining is done till the first week of August. Neuropsychology Department has now progressed much compared to previous batches. Although there is not any specific placement opportunities but you can look for some internship options for hands on experience in summer breaks.

In the second year of the MSc, many adtech companies come to the campus to hire students. In 2025, 95% students are placed who are interested in the placement of MSc Mathematics. One of my batchmates got an INR 48 LPA package at the Tech company Accenture Japan. And the average Package is an INR 17 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The things that influenced me include clinical work, which is interesting to me. The curriculum does not prepare you for real-world applications; you need hands-on & clinical practice Teaching methods are already good. For curriculum, more emphasis on real-time clinical exposure is necessary Frequency was one in 3-4 months. Difficulty level can be 7 out of 10

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is excellent in every way! The course, which I did was of Life Sciences, and it's curriculum was absolutely wonderful! The syllabus had been designed such that it perfectly aligned with the syllabus of various exams, such as CSIR, GATE etc. And also, for the end semester dissertation, our university allowed us to pursue it from any other institute or university if we wish to, and encouraged us to do so. And because of that I did my dissertation research from SLS, JNU, in cancer biology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because this was a new course and I have literally sone interest in this course when I started studying about this course. The faculty-student ratio is 1:15. The faculty is very good and they all are well qualified almost all the faculty have done MPhil and PhD in their field. The term exams very mostly in 2 to 3 months and the exam was not that much difficult to pass for an average student if they had studied.

Placement Experience:

This is year 2021 when we have probably 1000% more jobs in IT than 10 years ago. It is much easier to get in Tier-1 companies. The answer was still a BIG no back in 2010 when two of my closest friends did not get placed in college placement and it did turn out into their favor as they cracked even better companies than the ones at college. Math is simple only if you wish to do it: Assume that you will work your entire life until you retire. Let’s take the most pessimistic scenario of an average employee’s life. Total span of employment: 30 [no one remains unemployed for many years if they really want a job] Years
