Course Curriculum Overview
According to me I will read the course curriculum 7 out of 10. The main reason being less practical knowledge in comparison to theory. And in today's fast growing business world the more practically evolved we are takes us to a greater height than in theory level knowledge. And my perspective there were less specified subjects which would help us for the end doing masters or PGDM.
Internships Opportunities
I have done my internship from an NGO named Gulmohar Maitri situated in Patliputra Patna . It was live works for women's welfare. I along my group completed 21 days internship over there . My job role was of a general manager. I haven encountered two major events there. One was conducted for the success of completion of gulmohar Maitri at BAMETI ,Patna and the other event was a kind of health camp .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was around 4 to 5 lakhs all together for the three years. There was no such scholarship given.Altough there was an earn and learn program for students belonging to the family showing income less than a certain amount and considered to be coming from weaker economic section. For those students a program was conducted where the student was to work for certain hours and certain number of days and enrich their skills along with building their personality.
Campus Life
I was the part of several annual functions and events organised by college in 3 years. There were different clubs such as music club , dance club theatre , poetry, and YFI (youth for India). I was the part of music club and YFI which was a social group run by Xaviers students. Also in my last year sports day was organized which was a great success. The yfi group was an active group walking for poor people in the society and also the students used to go and teach to the poor children in slums and donate on every other festivals and occasions.
Admission
The admission process consisted of Xavier's entrance test (XET) followed by PI round. The eligibility of the course is that student should be from science or commerce background. The application form can be availed from the official site of St. Xaviers College of Management and Technology Patna or one can go to the college itself and apply for it. It will be followed by Xaviers entrance test (XET) and then personal interview round. There is no such reservation benefits except one relaxation given in the registration fee for semester exams conducted by the University. The exam is conducted in semesters for all the three years. There are two semester in each year. Exams are conducted after every 6 months and the difficulty level is quite moderate to difficult. Although there is a quite smooth flow in admission process in my perspective there should be more written rounds conducted before PI. Also some privilege should be given to the students who come from better education background.
Interview Experience
Yes I did face a written test where basic questions of maths science English and GK were there along with an essay writing followed by personal interview round where my personality and knowledge was checked.
