About MGC
Mirza Ghalib College Gaya was established in the year of 1969 to promote higher education among the Minority Communities in Gaya city of Bihar. The college is recognized by the state government.
MGC Gaya offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The college has also added vocational courses such as Bachelor of Biotechnology, Bachelor of Computer Applications and Bachelor of Business Management.
Admissions to graduation and post-graduation courses are done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC and physically handicapped students according to the state government guidelines.
The college also has its own placement cell responsible for placement drives and internships. Companies like Samsung, Videocon and E&Y visit the campus regularly for recruiting students.

- This is very popular college of gaya, bihar. The college has a good reputation. I always wanted to pursue my studies in the commerce field so I chose B.Com, and this college seemed like a good opportunity. The course fees are affordable.
- Semester exams in our course are not very difficult if someone has been continuous in his semester studies, so they can easily pass the semester with good grades. The library is good and offers a quiet space for students to study.
Dislikes
- There is no provision of the hostel in the school of open learning, as students don't visit the college on a regular basis. The class size is large. The academic plans could be better.
- Infrastructure is not so good as the college is very old, But one new building is better with a large playing ground

For all the courses you have pass out inter from any subject and any colleges or school. At least 50 percentage mark you have to go for admission. Admission happened on the basis of merit list. I have applied for Aligarh Muslim University, I was selected also, but because of the situation in Aligarh, I did not choose to go and study there. I am studying in Mirza Ghalib, the overall fee structure is low and the infrastructure is also nice here and education too. Teachers are friendly and solve every doubt of the student. The minimum marks required for taking admission in Mirza Ghalib in any bachelor degree is a minimum of 55% and above in every subject in class 12. There is an entrance test held for taking admission in Mirza Ghalib and after that counselling.

Course duration is 3 years. Attendance was not mandatory here. If you want to enjoy college life then this college is for you. College campus was quite good. The college had large classrooms and laboratories with adequate equipments.
