Course Curriculum Overview

Human anatomy and physiology with biochemistry and pharmacology influenced me to chose this course. Curriculum is well orientated. Anatomy department should be changed. Six internal exam along with one send up and university is there.

Class Size: 43Course Fees: INR 5760 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunity is very nice with a a basic stipened of 28000. Internship period will be a practice for managing all kind of emergency situations with an experience of night shifts and night duties.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is fixed. Exam fee is seperate. Scholarship are available and it will be mainly benifits for students who are not in general category. Stipened is given for internship students. 28000 is base salary.

Campus Life

The main festival is SPANDAN and it is conducted by JIPMER Intercollege competition will be there. It is in a duration of one week. Apart from that Holi, deepali,onam, Christmas etc will be celebrated.

Hostel Facilities

Both single and double rooms are available in hostel. MBBS students are allotted to various students such as Osler,Harvey 1, Harvey 2 etc. Mess can be chosen according to student's wish. Various mess are available like harvey,common mess etc.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is based on NEET examination. Application form is from MCC website OBC reservation was there. OBC NCL certificate is approved. NEET examination is the basis of the selection. All India level competition was there.

JIPMER: Above and Beyond

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. The cutoffs are really high for mbbs admission and it is usually around 300 AIR for the general category students....Read More

In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
