Likes

Though lake in infra but looks nostalgic
No ragging , good interaction with seniors
Good professors , they try their best if student is interested

Dislikes

Open campus: because this leads to unsafe campus
Library is not 24/7 opened like in iit delhi
Classes infrastrucutre is not upto the mark of iit , this is similar to bhu classes

Course Curriculum Overview

Merallurgy branch of iit bhu is the oldest branch here Also considered to be the best in India in terms of metallurgical engineering Practicals are really amazing, they helps to understand the theory classes in much better way Everything is good

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available for the students , From 2nd or 3rd year Mostly students with 9+ cpi can go for internship and few of them got intern Also some companies comes for internship from random year who so ever have required capability irrespective of cpi

Placement Experience

From 7th sem student becomes eligible for placements Various top complanies visited like google, microsoft etc same as in old iits Highest package so far was 2.1 crore 80 percent students gets placed Because some students dont sit for placement as they prepare for govt exams All the students who sit for placement gets placed till last round

Fees and Financial Aid

Here various state policies are provided to the students pf their respected states which they avails by providing their scores in exams and their ginancial conditions etc. Total cost of education is nearly 11 lakhs for general and 2.5 lakhs for sc and st students

Campus Life

Clibs are active and very interactive with the students But their is lack in infrastructure as compared to other old IITs , sports facility is amazing , all courts are well established , 75 per cent attendence is must , but some profs are chill in this case Technical and sports fest are top notch

Hostel Facilities

Some old hostels lack in infra but new hostels are much better than even old iits All basic facilities are provided in the rooms Currently the new hostels have tripple sharing accomodations Hostels are provided on the basis of branch and year, for this online fee payment needed to be done

Admission was through JEE Advanced rank Our branch cutoff was nearly 14000 Air Reservation benefits include 0 tuition fee 0 hostel fee but mess charges of 15000 per sem to be given Exams are conducted within time of min a weak or max 1 and half a weak Difficult level of exam are moderate

Placement Experience:

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

GLA University Mathura is Great!

Placement Experience:

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Good for learning and Skill development

Placement Experience:

Mostly te 6th sem (3rd year) got eligible for campus placement. Amazon, Accenture, AVL India, Atlan and many others (about 900+) visited and made 4000+ offers. The ave. package is about 5.25 LPA and highest crossed 39 LPA. Above 60%+ got their placement and the persentage of students receiving multiple offer is about 32%. After degrre want to build a strong carrer and to contribute in the grouth of Bharat.

Honest Opinion on IIIT ALLAHABAD

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester, many students get into the internship and many gets further preplacement through it. The companies visted are google, atlassian, flipkart, qualcomm, samsung, phone pe etc. Highest package is 1.21CR per annum. Average package is 30LPA 90% students got placed. Private job is the plan after getting the degree. 90% students gets placed.

So entry in IIT BHU was through JEE ADVANCE. I gave the examination and got an All India Rank(AIR) of 7533. Then I had Josaa counselling where I had to select colleges according to my priorities. So one of the many colleges I filled was IIT BHU(4 Year B.TECH Chemical Branch). The distribution of colleges is purely based on your ranks. Higher rankers will be prefferd above you.
