Course Curriculum Overview
The course is Industrial Internet of Things under the Electronics and communication Department includes the various aspects of internet of things , artifical intelligence , machine learning and deep learning etc. the curriculum aims to provide indepth knowledge of the domain internet of things also known as IOT. It is an evolving technology in India and it is basically a mechanism which allows us to connect the various electronic devices through software and its control becomes easy and systematic.
Internships Opportunities
various internship opportunites are provided by the college and it is for about 18 - 22 weeks in duration . the internship generally comes in the 6th semester and the students are assigned grades on the basis of the work done in their internship. may companies like google, microsoft,adobe etc. comes in the campus to recruit students and stipend varies between 10 - 40 thousands.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are decent and the students from 7 semester becomes eligible for campus placements. The major companies visited are microsoft , google , samsung , adobe etc. more than 150 companies visited nit kurukshetra this year . number of eligible students were 1368 in various courses which includes b.tech , m.tech MCA and MBA . More than 1000 placement offers were made and average package was 14.12 lakhs and highest package was 65 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees structure includes the per semester tution fees i.e. 75000 for general candidates with yearly income greater than 5 lakh rupees and nearly about 20000 for students with family income of 1 to 5 lakh rupees and 10000 for students with income category of less than 1 lakh . there are various scholarship opportunities for students who are struggling to pay the fees and education loan is also easily available. the hostel fees includes two components i.e. room charges and the mess fess . the room charges are according to number of students in each room and mess fees is 25k per semester which if remains gets deducted from the next semester mess fees.
Campus Life
the campus is spread over an area of 300 acres. Lush green beautiful campus and very good infrastructure . The campus is provided with high tech labs and all new instruments and technologies. There are various cultural clubs and technical socities with very helpful and cheerful environment. The college has 3 fests : the annual cultural fest namely Confluence held in the month if september, the technical fest Techspardha held in March and the sports fest Citius held in februrary . there are various opportunities for sports and has a cricket ground , gym , indoor badminton court , olympic sized swimming pool etc.
Hostel Facilities
there are total of 11 boys hostel and 4 girls hostels. sharing rooms are provided to first year students and single rooms for the following year students. the hostels are decent and spacious enough for students . All hostels contain a common room with TV , table tennis , carrom etc. The mess quality is also decent and provides a wide variety of food.
Admission
the admission process of the all NITs is through the joint entrance examination JEE. The cutoff for B.Tech in Industrial Internet of Things for general male was 20045 for the home state and 17768 for other state and this is only for the general category male candidates. The application form is available on the nta site i.e. nta.nic.in and the form fees for is 1000 rupees for general candidates. It is generally conducted in 2 sessions january and april.the difficulty level of the exam is moderate and it requires in depth knowledge of subjects physics , chemistry and maths. the syllabus is based on NCERT of class 11th and 12th. the college selection process is through josaa councelling. the councelling is carried out in 6 rounds followed by csab round. the offline reporting in college after it is alloted requires the submission of the mandatory documents.
