Course Curriculum Overview
Firstly what motivated me to choose the course was, Bsc Biomedical Science is something very much unique than all other bsc courses, where we get to deal with microorganisms, different chemicals in the laboratory. Get basic knowledge about laboratory and also get to know about all living beings in the environment. Also we study about cells and it's function. This curriculum prepares us well about all the knowledge to have for conducting a research in the field one is interested about. There is a total of 5 exams for each semester 3 theory and 2 practical. 3 Theory includeds - 2 internals and 1 semester exam and 2 practical includeds - 1 internal and 1 semester (final exam)
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are given in Laboratory. Usually Bio-Tech labs. Based on the combination of courses opted. Career options are - Academicians, Researchers, Application specialist in Biotech Laboratory, Food Laboratory, Hospitals, Hospital labs, Opportunities in regulatory agencies, science communications in publishing agencies, Enterpreneur and more. As I'm still pursuing my bachelor's, I don't know much about internship opportunities from the college.
Placement Experience
As per the current protocol students become eligible for placement after completing their 3rd year of Bachelor's and one can opt for research in their completion of fourth year. Admission
The admission process was a bit confusing in the beginning, as it was my first time getting admitted into a university for graduation. The course I chose was Bsc.(Hons) Biomedical Science. Which required a minimum cutoff of 65%. All the application dates were announced before few months, as there is entrance examination to clear to get the admission. I didn't get any benefits of reservation. The application form was available both online as well as offline. It is available on official college portal. There will be three entrance examination in total called as NUCAT
