Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was interested to take this course because it is interesting and has a good scope in national and international level. The syllabus and curriculum is really interesting and it is student friendly. It doesnt give you a burden. More practical based and field visit type of education is encouraged. Even exams are not that tiring.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 60000/- for the course. For the second language opted, there is an additional fees because it depends on the language being selected. Scholarships based on merit is available. And depending on your financial status the college gives a reduction in the fees.

Campus Life

5

There are different cultural and social events in our college. Even there is a fest that last for one week. The students are also given opportunity to participate in co curricular activities and other competitions. The library is one of the cozy and comfortable place for anyone who loves reading. There are different tournaments, activities in the field of sports, annual sports day is conducted. There is a compulsory value based programme in the college that gives students option to select different extra activities like dramatics, singing, mehendi designs and etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel has got a ggood facility. Like it has got a lift, fridge, ironing service, hot water for drinking, geysers. The rooms available are of four sharing and six sharing. The hostel is a comfortable place to stay if the warden is good. The food is adjustable. It has got a variety of menu but four stars only.

Admission

I didnt take any kind of entrnace examinations. It was based on the marks of 12th and 10th grade. There was a faculty member from this College who conducted interview. The admission went well and it was student friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
