Our teachers make us do presentations and activities that help us to prepare for the corporate world. The exams will be conducted three and half ours difficulty level depends on the paper we chose

2

The companies that provide internship are Infosys 2. Wipro 3. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) 4. IBM India I still haven't done any internship so far so i have no idea about the outcomes till now as am still in second year

Placement Experience

4

St. Philomena's College in Mysore has a dedicated placement cell that works to facilitate job opportunities for its students. While the college is well-regarded for its academic programs, the placement scenario may involve a mix of reputed and lesser known companies

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees varies from year to year. In first year i paid 50000 and now in second year i paid 45000. In first year you will be given cut off for your percentage if it is above distinction in puc. The fees is same for all categories of studies cut off will be provided only if you have good scores. Scholarships are provided by the college often like ssp Scholarship

Admission

I chose this college because I wanted to do acca and only selective colleges had professional courses and compared to them philos was the best option it had experienced faculties. There is no eligibility criteria to get admission in this college

Faculty

4

The faculty is highly experienced and friendly they help in all possible ways and find best way to make the class interesting. Exams are conducted once in 4 months and the difficulty of the examination depends on the paper we write

Night Life

2

We have a gym for girls and boys and then an indoor stadium for indoor games and a huge sports ground. We have a canteen near the ground and 2 canteens near the college main building. The main college closes at 5 along with the hostel. Personally i dont think it is safe to roam at night

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
