Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this course because I interested in medical field. I selected general microbiology for my post graduation . So I can select any field for my job ( medical, industry ) . Improvement in the practical should be necessary. For some subjects there is no enough time to complete exams. There are 2 semester per year and exams are based on semesters.

Class Size: 17Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As compared to another courses , MSc. Microbiology has more fees. That because of the cost of reagents and laboratory equipments. To complete MSc. Microbiology, 200000 is the total tuition fees, and the hostel fees is according to the hostel and pg. For the students who studied BSc. Microbiology has the opportunity to get 50 percentage reduction in their tuition fees in yenepoya University. And the students with sports quota who has no fees.

Campus Life

All festivals are celebrating by the college. There is large Library which has a elaborated reading area. All classrooms are digital and with AC. The college Will conduct sports programs in Every year. And the students with sports quota has many oppertunities.

Admission

Eligibility of MSc. Microbiology is should complete BSc. Microbiology with 50 percentage mark. In Kerala, to apply this course for management seat after the result of degree. Reservation is available for this course. The difficulty is there according to the universities. For some subjects we will not get enough time.

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Our college provide very fantastic placements , in every year they invited two or three companies in our college to get placements us.In last semester the students are eligible for for campus placements.Shilpa biological industry, biocon industry both company are offered the placement in last year. they told they provide highest packages 800000 rupees per year and averages 400000 per year . In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

BU needs more Improvement

Placement Experience:

After 3rd sem, we are eligible for campus placements. There'll be job drive for around 1 week where we get to attend. Commerce students get more opportunities rather than Botany students but nevertheless we get to work in medical feilds depending on interviews
