LIFE AT MESCET

In my case I loved engineering and I wanted to work in developing technological world so I decided to take btech. As per the curriculum theory based knowledge is provided over the practical knowledge of the course. In my opinion practical knowledge should be given more importance. In our curriculum we have 8 semesters and in each semesters we have 3 exams , which are 2 series exams and one university or sem exam. Because of the series exams we can learn our topics and test our ability and knowledge before the university exam.

From semester 6 onwards the college placement programs are open and we are able to apply for placements. We are selected according to our developed skills and certificates. The average placement package in our college is from 3 lakhs onwards. Almost all students are placed in different companies every year. I plan to do masters abroad if I am able to or by making some experience I would like to take some extra courses.

Tuition for every semesters are same and there is no hike in our college. Annually my fees is 87,000 apart from the hostel fees which is 50000 Annually. There are some scholarships available if we give our details for it we can get it.

The campus life in this college is not much. The campus is very small and there are no stages or auditoriums to conduct programmes. The programmes and festivals conducted in this college is comparatively less according to other colleges. Arts and cultural fests are done during March - June timings. The facilities are also less in this college. Extracurricular activities and sports are supported but there is no correct facilities to held them. But there are many clubs provided by students and they encourage every other students in joining them.

Hostel facilities are very much bad and it is not very accessible for the fee we are given. The Warden is very strict and discriminative towards girl students who are in the hostel. And the accommodation is in the college compound. The meals are from our college mess which is not bad. And during ramadan they offer ramadan menu which is much more costly but helpful for Muslim students.

The admission process was on college, we came to the college and the admission process was done smoothly within less time. The eligibility of the course was through keam and management quotas. As I entered through entrance exam I applied through the government portal of keam and through allotments. Keam is not that difficult and anyone can crack it but if the scores are low then they can apply for private colleges. The admissions processes were smooth and I don't think there is any room for improvement

There was no interviews or written tests for admission they value us with our 10th and 12th class marks. The processes where submitting our certificates and meeting some professors at the colleges for guidance about our career and placement opportunities. That was the admission process here
