Course Curriculum Overview

3

This course is a really good course which have a lot of scope in the future and have a really good stat for growth in future. The curriculum is very easy to understand and easy to comprehend and includes all kinds of information which is applicable in the real world for your work future. The teaching method the teachers use are very simple and yet very easy to understand. The only thing they can improve is how they approach the students with matters of learning. The exams are not that difficult in my opinion you just have to prepare well enough to crack the exam and get high marks. The thing I have a problem with is the timing of the exams which I think are a bit too squished and tightly scheduled. .

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies such as Wipro google and other small companies offer internships and employment opportunities. A lot of small and big startup approach our colleges for employees and so on. The roles for which they want the students vary based on the companies and their wants. People are assigned on tasks which they seem suitable for then promoted from there based on their performance.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students in this college which is under the KTU is eligible to participate in employments and placements when they enter the fifth semester onwards. The acceptability rate depends on their own personal skills and talents. The average package is 200000 to students who have a high gpa and scores. The percentage of students getting placements is 50% based on their performance in colleges and grades.what I intend to do after btech is to get an MTech in data science and then opt for b. ed . What I intend to do with that is to teach in universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

For me the fee is 40000 per sem and there is the 8500 rupees of special fee which is also compulsory and at last you have to pay the exam registration fee of 2205 rupees to write the exams. There are a lot of scholarships for students under KTU. Personally I have applied for the scholarship of MES which is a good scholarship and there a lot of other scholarships government wise and private wise. There are lot of roles you can partake in the campus which can improve your overall personal skills and leadership skills. To be truthful I haven't participated in these kind of things as I am an introvert.

Campus Life

2.5

The thing I have a problem with most in this college is the college campus and I am sure many of the students here will agree with me on this matter. We only have an arts fest and there was the freshers fest other than that I have not witnessed any other festivals or anything of that sort in here. The classrooms are okey with enough facilities for everyone because we only have a very few students and it is sufficient for everyone. There are no extracurricular activities in the campus that may sound a bit too extreme but there is a bit of truth in it, the truth is we don't have the facility for any sports related activities but the faculties try to make the most of everything with what we have. There are several clubs in the college which are run by students and students who are part of the club have an advantage of many sorts.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel in MESCET Kunnukara is like a paradise, the food given here in the canteen is so good that some students refuse to go home just to eat their lunch with everyone. The quality of the food is top notch while not compromising the quantity. The registration for the hostel is very simple as filling a paperwork. The affordability of this hostel is very good when you take in account that it only cost 5200 per month for this delicious food and homely feel.

Admission

I did write the KEAM entrance exams but unfortunately I did not get in through it and therefore I got in through management seat where I reserved my seat for 5000 rupees. The thing is the admission process took a bit too long and it was a bit laggy that was the only problem that I had when I went through the admission process. The thing about exams is that there are too many exams in a very tight schedule, the exams are a bit too squished with a tight schedule. The admission can be a bit too fast and reliable from the faculties's side

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
