Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

• I did a tripple major, the combination provided we're relevant to eachother which helped me decide easily. • it prepares us with the basics of our subjects. • More practical exposure would've been nice

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships available in the arts department for psychology was a month long internship at a government hospital near by. Which also provided a certificate of completion. No such stipends but a certificate was provided mentioning the time and period we worked for

Fees and Financial Aid

No hikes as such, no tution fee increase. For three years in total around 50-60k incl examination fees, maintenance fees, books fees etc No job roles in campus, or stipends awarded. I'm not aware of the scholarships names but a lot of scholarships are available.

Campus Life

4

• Every month there was a festival or some kind of a celebration, maharaja's annual day. The college Library is said to be the second oldest library in Karnataka, with wide variety of books from every topics. There were power point presentations and computer labs. All kinds of sports especially athletics was encouraged a lot, tennis, cricket, wrestling etc Literary club, film club, sports club etc

Admission

Eligibility: 50+ percentage in all subjects of 12th grade. Applying and application forms will be found at the college and nowhere online. Frequency of examination is very manageable, twice a year with assessments and practicals. Admission process is a bit of a hassle because everything is offline and you have to walk around a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was clear about choosing this stream as after 12th mind was fixed for preparing UPSC-CSE. So curriculum i had was exactly same which u needed!. Geography is very interesting subject and it further broadened my knowledge after i choosed the subject. We needed to write exam twice a year as many of us know it was a semester based. Question papers were of moderate difficulty and competent enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The idea of doing a triple major in one degree is what motivated me to choose this course. English, Political Science and History are interlinked in many ways that we know. Also, the course was primarily curated to help aspiring students for the Public Service Examinations, UPSC and SSC. The course really does an amazing job is getting the students ready for competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements are given in our college for a lot of departments. A senior of ours got placed into Reuters with a very high placement. In the last year, that is the 4th year, you get eligible for campus placement. After I get my degree in History, I will pursue my master's in history from Christ University only or from a foreign college belonging to the Ivy league. After that, I will pursue my PhD in history and also give the Civil Services Examination.

Placement Experience:

For my exact department, campus placements for undergraduate students isn't great, but thats a concern for any college in Media Studies. Companies like Accenture and Bosch do come for roles like HR or Corporate Communications though, and with how the University teaches, employability is pretty high off campus, with students using their network built during their internships done in their earlier years to land a job. Starting salaries vary depending on the role and company, but start from around 3-4 LPA. Im currently into UI/UX, looking for an internship so I can start working once i graduate.
