VEC review

In terms of curriculum, for first few semesters it would be same as computer science and IT courses. You would learn basics of computer programming, networking and databases. After you would get your course related subjects. As our course is relatively new the curriculum is not quite good in terms of real world applications. But we had frequent workshops and seminars on real world applications apart from our curriculum. The curriculum can be framed more practical way rather the more theory. As far as exams timing goes you would have decent time to prepare and exams are not too difficult

The students are eligible to attend placement at end of 6th semester. We have companies like zoho, fresh works, CTS , TCS , Wipro and Infosys etc visit our college for placement. The college had a decent placement record of around 90% + overall and if has gone down to recession. On a average the package is around 4-6 LPA . You can get as high as 10 LPA.

The fees for counseling seat is around 80k to 1L. The management seat fees for 1st year is around 1.4L and subsequent year it reduces to 1.3L. The bus fees is around 40k and hostel fees around 1L You would have good financial scholarships based on reservation for counseling seats.

Regarding the overall aspects you would have a decent college life . The college focuses more on studies and placement so you would have less culturals and entertainment options.most of the faculties are friendly enough. We have a good amount of books and journals in our library and it's easy to access. We also have a decent lab facility.

The eligibility of this course through engineering counseling you need a good cutoff 170 or 180+. If the hype of artificial intelligence goes high this may increase even more. In terms of application process, we have a addmission office where all admission procedures takes place , I guess the admission form fees was around 500. The process is straightforward. You need the allotment order and you should come to college for admission within the stipulated time if reservation seat , if it's management seat it's preferable to come as early as possible to get seat for this course. There's no separate exams for entrance. It's just through TNEA or through management.
