Remarks

This is one of the best college for a student who is willing to work hard and study.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college as it was a good college near to my residence. The fees structure there also looked feasible compared to the other colleges in our district. The college focuses primarily on academics and has a good reputation. It is on its growing stage now.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is above par in our state compared with neighbouring states such as tamilnadu and Karnataka.Students are familiarised with the basic Engineering concepts from the first year .We have to study the basics of all streams of engineering in the first year.Later on students study their core stream subjects

Internships Opportunities

This is one area in which I think my college needs to improve a lot.We were not provided any kind of internship during our study tenure.

Placement Experience

1.5

As it is a new college and needs to make a mark in the industry, this fact also reflects in the placement sector. A placement cell is active here and they try their maximum to conduct interviews in our college but most of the interviews are not good enough to provide students with jobs related to the course.

College Events

3

This is one thing which makes our college life colourful.Besides the heavy syllabus for Engineering and tight exam schedule, students need to get such events more often. 1) Arts festival named Genex is conducted every year 2) Sports meet conducted every year 3)Onam celebration

Fee Structure And Facilities

My fees was roughly about 80-85K per year.I don't think it was too less for a private Engineering college. But all private colleges seems to work for making profit from this business. So all of them charges a hefty amount as fees.If they reduce the fees a little it will become feasible.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Bank loan assistance will be provided from the college. They will give all the documents from their side.Scholarships are limited to students of sc and St.

Campus Life

3.5

Do not expect a full on fun experience in an Engineering college. The syllabus is heavy and requires hours of work.So the enjoyment is limited. The labs here have good quality machines and stuff. Sports is not highly promoted. Extracurricular activities such as tech fests , discussion etc. are done.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college has a canteen which is run by the college management. Its a good one giving quality food at an affordable price range. The hostel building is situated inside the college campus. It provides a safe shelter for the students who come from distant places.

Alumni/Alumna

An alumni network is present but it not that much active. A meet-up of the alumni association was conducted last year.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very important. As per the university guidelines, two internal examinations and one model examination are written by the students. Marks from these exams play an important role in deciding the internal marks in each subject. A University exam is conducted every six months.

Admission

The state government conducts an Entrance exam to provide admission into the professional courses. It is known as KEAM.After it's results are published and options are submitted as per the priority of students,a rank list will be published. Then allotment will be provided to different colleges .

Faculty

3.5

They're good. Most of them are those who have completed the master's degree in the subject and head of the department post requires a Ph.D. qualified person. The teaching methods include both practical and theoretical framework. The teacher to student ratio is good and this ensures that everyone gets individual attention.

For other branches, the placement cell is quite good but for food technology, the placement is less. Although we have a few. Training is given for placement aptitudes.

It is a really good college if academic is your only aim. It has a very good atmosphere for studying and really calm it is. But the other aspects are not really inspiring and viable. The college doesn't promote other activites.
