i like the campus position, is is located near river side so the enviorment is so good.
the faculty are so helpful and supportive. you can call them whenever you want anything.
i like the course fee structure. it is very affordable.

Dislikes

the campus is very small and the clasrooms are not really very clean and well maintained.
there is no auditorium and smart class in the collge.
the college administratives are not friendly and helpful.

programming fundamentals, artificial intelligence, data science and machine learning, computer networking security, and web development. these are the few aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to take this course. thinking about the future these are the hottest topics like artificial intelligence and robotics will boom in the next few years. improvement needs in the syllabus like adding the recent technology to help students prepare for the industry.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 11960 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

there are no such fee hikes in the college. the total cost of the computer science course is 11960? including all fees for 3 years. college gives us various types of scholarships like svmcm,kanyashree,aikashree and also student credit card is available. Honestly no campus placements are there.

Campus Life

It is important to note that our college has two festivals - one for freshmen and one for the college social. The library is always well-maintained and fully stocked with books from all departments. However, there are no smart classrooms or auditoriums in our college. Every year, we have an annual sports event with a variety of sports for both men and women. We also have small groups such as fundraisers and technical groups.

Admission

THE ELIGIBILITY IS TO SCORE AT LEAST 60% MARKS IN HIGHER SECONDARY EXAM. YOU CAN APPLY ON THE COLLEGE WEBSITE AND THERE ARE NO SUCH APPLICATION FEES AND THE APPLICATION STARTS AFTER THE HS EXAM IN FEBRUARY. THERE IS RESERVED SEATS AVAILABLE FOR SC,ST AND OBC. EXAMS ARE NORMALLY BASED ON SEMESTER.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

My experience at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

The college offers good placements for economis. Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements and there is a cell dedicated to placements. Many students do not opt for placements and go for higher studies but many students who opt for it, get placed with decent packages. Many well-known companies visit the campus as well.
