The curriculum includes 51% of syllabus on insurance and rest on general management. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it prepares us for the real world application. NIA has motor labs, marine labs and what not. We had done activities on how to use the instruments to detect fire or how to extinguish it. So we had overall theoretical and practical experiences in the curriculum. It also offers 3 days on the job trainig so that you get to know how underwriting is done actually, how a proposal form is filled. You get to taste the flavours of how things work in real life through these OJTs and SIP processes.

Sip process is for 8 weeks. companis such as marsh, bagic, kshema, tata aig, aon, hdfc ergo, chubb, sbi life, india first, value momentum, magma and many others upto 32 companies comes for sip process and also offers ppo. Highest stipend is 140000 for 2 months and average is 40000. Roles offered are in caims, underwriting, learning and development, project management, broking, consuting, business analyst, HR,etc. C9ompanies start coming from the mid of first trimester. and conducts GDPI process and cv selection for the candidates.

The college provides 100 percent placements sinnce its inceptions. The3 average package is 13 lpa, highest 22lpa. Companies coming are generally from insurance domain such as Marsh Mcclenan, TATA AIG, HDFC Ergo, AON, Chubb, magma, Mahindra brokers, SOMPO, Reliance sunderam, value momentum, Bagic and many more. Roles offered are broking , consulting, business analyst, underwriting, claims department etc. Most of the students get ppos after thier sip. and companies comes for placements from 4th trimester onward after the sip. There is privelege day 1/2/3/4 and a day zero for companies based on thier packages offered.

My tuition fee is 943000 for 2 years but this year there has been a hike and fees is 1100000 for 2 years. Hostel and mess facility costs 375000 for 2 years. There are various scholarships offered. Students on the basis off merit gets full fee waiver scholarship based on tthier sores in entrance exams. Scholarships are also provided ffor the top 2 scoring students during the couse, top 2 girls students, top 2 reserved category student, need/income based scholarships. College provides 100% placement record since its inception. highest package is 22 lakhs, median is13 lpa and average stipend is 40000 for 2 months while highest is 140000. ROI is really good.

Campus life is very good at NIA. We recently had our flagship fest named Manthan which was a 2 day intra-college fest. That was absolutely amazing. There are various student driven committees such as placecom, cultural committee, HR committee, social outreach, social media, Sports, Insurance Summit, CD Deshmukh, pravartak, student welfare and many more. Frequent business or managerial level competitions and cultural events are organized by the college. The campus life is really amazing. You are going to have the best 2 years of your life here. The library is also very nice with wide varities of books.

The hostel privides a triple sharing spacious room with cupboard, study table, lamps, mirrors, shelfs, and a neat and cleaned washroom and also a balcony with pretty views. The campus is lush green and views are so satisfying.Washing machine is also there. Bedsheets, pillow, towels are provided and are regularly cleaned and changed. Mess food quality is also good. both non veg and veg options are available. Special dinners are als served on fridays. WIde variety of options in the menu. Hostels are provided at the the time of admission only. hostel and mess charges are 375000 for 2 years.

The admission process was smooth enough. The selection was based on entrance exams score, past academics and online PI. Expected cutoff for general category for CAT/XAT/CMAT are 75/85/95 repectively and for other categories its 71.25/80, 75/90.25 respectively. The last date for on;ine application is 15th march 2024 and will extend the same for CMAT candidates. You can apply for admissions on the official page of NIA Pune.

There was only PI round and no GD. They asked cv baased questions, questions from graduation, hobbies and interest, Why NIA, Why Insurance, etc for PI. PI was held online and but this year its going to be offline with GD also. I prepared for my GDPI with TIMES Indore.
