Dislikes
- The campus seems pretty small No doubt that the location is good but a very less leisure area for those who live in hostel
- The quality of the food served in hostels is really, really bad
- The food available in the cafeteria is quite expensive You are not allowed to eat your tiffins in the cafeteria.
Course Curriculum Overview
There is no doubt that B.pharm is quite a tough course but it is also interesting as focuses more on practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge during the course your mentality will develop like a researcher not as a student. Frankly speaking, this course is not proficient in preparing you for dealing with the world itself but during the course, you will learn it automatically through other sources by meeting different types of people. There is only one area for improvement the knowledge and teaching methods are very old and outdated and need to be modified and updated.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible to get the placements from the start of their final year for example the courses which consist of three years will get their placements from the end of the second year And for the courses consisting of four years we will get their placements at the end of 3rd year The company is visiting the campus varies from department to department, such as in bachelors of Technology the companies that visited last year are Amazon, Google, etc And in bachelors of pharmacy, the companies visited last year are ITC, AKUMS, Mankind, 1MG, etc. The Percentage of students getting the placement is quite high About 80 to 85% The students who didn't get the placement have uncleared back exams and unethical behavior in college, which led them to not get the placement It's totally up to the student to grab the opportunity to get a placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
for 1st year the installment of both sem will be the same tuition fee =52550rs Academic service fee =34550rs total fee =87100rs but if you are from Uttrakhand you will get a scholarship of 26% which would be tuition fee=38887rs Academic service fee=34550rs total fee=73437rs for the detailed fee structure go to the official site of DITU and download the fee structure.
Campus Life
There are not many events in DIT but there are two major events 1 is Yuthopia Which is a three-day event held in November And the other one is a sports event. Spruti Which is held in March There are some also small events such as Pharmacist Day which is celebrated on September 25th and many more. There is a wide range of books and generals available in the library such as your course-rated books, as well as novels, generals, etc But if you want some more books you can request the college faculty to do so There is a possibility that they might arrange those books. The technology in the classroom varies from department to department such as in the Btech Department The technology is available in the classroom, such as projectors, speakers, air conditions, etc But if you compare this to the B pharm Department there are broken projectors bad sitting conditions etc. There are many clubs such as NCC and NSS.
Admission
That mission process was quite easy but there is no entrance exam and the eligibility of my course B.pham is that you must have a score higher than 60% in class 12. you can easily find the application form, and fees related details on the official website of DITU, there are no reservation benefits but there is a scholarship of 26% if you are a resident of Uttrakhand, in my course you will have 2 midterm exams (theory) each consists of 30 marks or 2 midterms (practical) 40 marks each and one end term (theory) of 75marks and end term (practical) 40marks and the gap between each term is about one month. Think twice before choosing this course it isn't easy at all you have to study 42 different types of chemistry for 4 years and the marking is quite tough trust me it is not an easy course.
