I applied to a few NITs and state colleges but chose MNIT Jaipur because it has better infrastructure, faculty, and placements compared to others. I got admission offers from MNIT Jaipur and one or two other NITs, but MNIT felt more promising for electrical engineering. I faced rejection from some colleges due to lower JEE Main rank. MNIT’s admission is mainly through JEE Main, which is the most preferred exam for most students here. The cutoff for electrical engineering is quite high, around 15000-25000 rank, depending on category. This process gets based not jee mains exam. Bu getting marks gets college counseling through JOSSA. It was taken 7 rounds. In every round have 3 options,1st is freeze,2. Slide,3.
