Remarks

Management is money minded. Capitation is around 50lak. The college only gas four batch. Present two batches are not approved and admitted. Really costly and the facilities are limited. Canteen is so small and can accommodate only 30 members. However it's

Entrance Preview

Tamil nadu state medical counselling. I scored a cutoff of 196.25 under the BC category. I had the same cutoff in engineering. But I always thought MBBS was better than any as it saves life. Admission was purely through the government counselling. This is a self financing govt college.

Internships Opportunities

Internship for the CRRI is 9000/- per month. It's a one year compulsory internship. Of which 5000/- will be reduced for the mess fees and remaining will be giving to the students irrespective of hostelite or day scholar.

Placement Experience

4

The first batch has not yet come out. Since its a MBBS degree course placements are not of importance. PG higher studies are considered important.

College Events

0.5

There is not a full fledged cultural hall. Small events such as farewell, CME programme and mini culturals. We are expecting a full fledged auditorium.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. It varies for each batch. As of me 1st yr-6.5 lacs, 2nd yr-7.8 lacs, 3rd yr-6.9 lacs. Exam fees of about 10,000 for every year. However govt prescribed fees is 2.5 lac per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I know of first graduate scholarship and SC/St candidate scholarship. Bank loans for counselling candidates are available. Irrespective of socio economic status the fees is high for all. They charge three times the govt fees. However there are no loan programme other than this.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio 2:3 girls are many. Hostel parties are not allowed. Fined severely for bday celeb. Gender discrimination is not there. However dayscholar and hostel unity is always in trouble. There is not even a social club math club student council.

Hostel Facilities

2

Rooms are good. 2+1 in structure. Has two attached toilets. Water and current always present. Rental is approx 1lak ever year. Rooms are available in plenty.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are always dominating in all batch. There has not been alumni created. Since first batch has not gone out. Some seniors are cooperate and helpful. They provide books for juniors when needed. Outside the college they help in many ways like protection finance and all. Bad peer groups of both seniors and juniors are always together.

Exam Structure

We have internals every sat except second sat. It is included in university internals. Also we have two model theory and one model practicals before the main university exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
