Odisha University of Technology and Research- A heaven for aspiring engineers

It is the best state government college of odisha right now. The curriculum is very good with ample time and opportunities for other extra curricullar activities. The curriculum shows us a demo of how the real world works by the assignmens and different projects. The college needs some improvement in its infrastructure.There are 2 exams held in each annual year.

The college provides internship during your 3rd year of your b tech program. Many different companies like mercedes Benz and google takes our students for interships. Many students also to different steel plants for internships.

Our college is famous only for it's placements. It offers the best placements in our college. Last year maruti suzuki, Microsoft and ibm visited our college and many other companies too. The highest package was 35lakhs per annum. With an average package of 12lakhs per annum. Nearly 90% of the students get placedplaced.

The tution fees for 4 years b tech course is 2.25lakhs and the hostel fees depends on the exercises. There are several government scholarship available by the state government. I am standing as the sports secretary and getting a stipend of 500 each month.

There are many annual fests held each year in this college. Extasy is one of the best college fest of odisha which is held in our college each year during march. There is a very big library available for students to borrow books and other journals. There are many hi tech labs available in each branch. Each year our college hosts engineer's cup . There are many groups and clubs for extracurricular activities.

There are 2 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel in our college campus. The rooms are decent sized and serves good and tasty mess food. The hostel is very affordable but getting college hostel is a little hard as getting hostel depends on your rank and distance of your house from the college.

The admission to this university is through jee mains and by ojee counselling. The application form for jee mains can be found from official nta website and there are 2 rounds of this exam held each year. The registration fees for one round is 1000. The jee mains is held each year during mid January and april. The difficulty level of jee mains is moderate.
