Remarks

IET Lucknow is decent College only in terms of Degree or for a tag of Government Institute. Students can opt for it if they have missed chance for NIT's and IIT's and do not prefer to go to Top private universities.

Entrance Preview

I got admitted through UPSEE that is conducted every year. I had got 408 marks and 5741 General category rank. I opted for this college because It is Ranked 1 College of AKTU.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is based on the syllabus provided by AKTU (Abdul Kalam Technical University). The course structure is not very modern or not as the IITs and NITs follow.T here is a need of reformation. According to me, it is not Research oriented.

Internships Opportunities

No, Internship is not provided to many students. Only a few Students get Internships from College and those belong to CS and IT branch Summer training are provided to many students.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is neither very good nor very bad that is Average placement is there in this college. Most of the CS and IT guys get placed in software companies with an average package of 3.5 Lac per annum. the maximum package is of 9 Lac of two guys of IT. Students of core branches perform well in GATE and make for PSU's or for higher studies Companies visiting the campus are TCS ,Wipro ,IBM ,Honda ,Tata etc

College Events

3.5

Number of branch fests , cultural fest , sports fest , technical fest and other co-curricular events will surely enhance your social life if you participate in them actively. The college has three main events in a year. 1)Shaurya Utsav- It is Sports fest of our Institute. 2)Encore-It is our institute's cultural and technical fest. Other colleges from throughout the country are invited to participate in the fest. 3)Parakram- It is a technical fest of the Institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is provided by Government of UP to the students who have a poor economic background that has income less than 2 Lac per year. Students can take a loan from banks there is a branch of Vijaya bank in the campus.

Campus Life

2.5

College life - Timing 9:10 am to 4:30 pm..total of 7 classes each of 50-minute duration with a lunch break from 12:30 to 2:00 pm. On average you will get one or two free classes every day due to the busy schedule of faculty or that of the students. Gender ratio-5:1 (Boys to Girls) in branch-like EC Politics-No student election or group

Alumni/Alumna

IET Lucknow has managed its alumni database but in Engineering departments only. They have around 200+ alumni so far. Yet they have not done anything yet in the benefit of college but they have started making groups and a site of alumni. Soon we can expect some changes in our College done by Alumni.

Exam Structure

Every year consists of two semesters and Every semester consists of Two CT's (Class Tests). End semesters are of 3 hours and CT's are of 1 hour each. There is a minimum of 4 labs in each semester, only end semester exams are conducted for labs there are no sessionals for it.

Admission

Admission is totally based on Counselling conducted by UPSEE.There are 4-5 rounds of the counselling.Students can wait till last round because maximum students leave their choices for NITs and IITs.Genrally Students having ranks in between 1 to 2000 can get this college till last round .Advice--Wait till Special round if ur rank lies in boundary condition

Faculty

2

It is a Government Aided College so there is no doubt It has many qualified and permanent faculties and a good number of Guests faculties are also there. Some Faculties are very nice They want to teach and help students but maximum come to Enjoy and to have time pass. Overall the faculties are not very much helpful as required. One has to study himself or should take help of YouTube videos or notes to study.

Recently Infosys visited our college, however the average and highest package was not yet declared but we have heard rumours that the highest package is somewhat around 30 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is around 65%. My plans after getting this degree is applying for external placements as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.

The rate of my branch was quite high because I am in CSE AIML and future is totally depends on it that's why i select this branch. The College provide 100 percent to you for makeing you a winning horse in it sector but you will be initiated from your side.the most bad things is In first normal classess are going on like 12 and that is not good.some extra curricular activities is not happen in this college .they should be focus on this points. The paper was quite easy because exam is conducted by aktu.
