Remarks

My remarks are mixed up for Babu Banarasi Das University. You will feel bore sometimes and sometimes you will feel good depending upon the environment you require. College management is average.

Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE 2016 and I scored below the cutoff. As this college provides many courses and the fee structure is also affordable so I chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

First of all in all the private colleges of India they only focus on theory rather than practical knowledge. Babu Banarasi Das University is also following the same pattern nothing new in research and development. In the advertisements they show many things but reality is totally opposite of it. Practical knowledge is very less.

Internships Opportunities

Yes I think that they provide internship as I have heard from other students. In August I will be going in 3rd year so after that I can tell properly what is the whole scene regarding internship.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are there no doubt in that but not for all especially for Civil Engineers because the companies are not coming only for the placement of Civil Engineers. Mostly the placed students are from MBA and other branches and if you talk about Engineering then the placed students are from CSE, IT and Electrical branches.

College Events

1.5

There is only one cultural event in Babu Banarasi Das University and that is Utkarsh which is organized at very high level. It continues for 3 days and there are many events organized by the staff and the college students. There are Technical events dance, singing, quizzes fashion show etc. On 3rd day there is a DJ night where a popular singer is called. It is a nice event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is different for all the courses. It depends on what you will you choose. For Engineering the fee is Rs.1,20, 000 per year which is quite expensive for some people and some can easily pay this amount. For middle class it is a big amount. There are courses whose fee is lesser than this.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are scholarships for students first there is Uttar Pradesh government scholarships for students for this you need to fill the form with all the documents required. Secondly the college also offers scholarships to the students who score above 80% in End Semester Exams.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is worst for Civil Engineers you will feel as you have taken admission in school again. You have to reach college at 9:00 a.m. and you will get leave at 4:00 p.m. with the one-hour lunch break from 1:00-2:00 p.m. There is enjoyment for Civil Engineering students you will forget what college life is. The gender ratio is equal. There is no discrimination on the basis of the cast, creed, religion, and sex. For Engineering students there is no freedom.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel is not very good but it's like average. There are rooms shared by 2 students or 4 students . The fee is Rs. 80,000 per year. Mess food is not good at all you have to eat mostly from outside. The food is tasteless and non-hygienic. For students who who want to live as PG there are number of options available outside the college with affordable rent.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are very kind and helpful. They are very friendly to juniors always ready to help. In my 2 years of college experience I have not taken any help from my seniors because it doesn't required only but in remaining 2 years I may take help from my seniors.

Exam Structure

There are 8 semesters in Engineering 2 per year one in the month of December and one in the month of May. Exams will surely give you a serious tension especially in Engineering because the syllabus is very hard. There are labs for practical but no practical is done on the main exam day. It is a very hectic schedule from 9 to 10 in the morning.

Admission

It was a direct admission no donation was given to the college. On the basis of 12th marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science you will get the admission. There was nothing hard in filling the form. You will easily get the form and at the same day you can submit the fee. Administration was quite good and it was supportive as well.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is good and supportive. They will try to help students in every way possible. In first year you will feel as if you are in school. In second year too the same thing continues they will treat you as a school kid. In third year the student may feel little independence but do not expect more as shown in advertisements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution itself claims that the B.Tech programme is designed to “develop the technical skills of aspirants” and emphasises modern tools and technologies. Some students say particular specialisations (e.g., CSE with AI/ML) are particularly “industry-ready”. The curriculum covers foundational engineering courses (physics, mathematics, basic engineering) in the early years and then branch-specific specialisations later. That breadth is good. Some student reviews point out that while the curriculum is generally relevant, it may lag in keeping up with the latest technology trends. For example:

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So my course is btech CSE which I choose according to my interest. I have interest in computer and technology. The university curriculum is very good according to real world applications for students they try every possible aspects to give comfort and quality education to the students. The course curriculum is well prepared there is no need to change the course curriculum and the teaching method is also inporved day by day as they use active learning and wooclaps website for active learning and the classroom are also restructure according to new learning scenario. The timing of exam is based on the subject which is the exams are occur in two different shifts and the timing are also managed accordingly which is good. The difficulty level of exam are moderate and not very difficult if a student is active in classroom and practice questions then the exam is very easy for them.

students become eligible for the placement from 6th sem onwards but most students sit in 7th sem and more than 40% of students secure placement in their 8th, college doesn't claim 100% placement percentage but more than 70% get placed and the highest package is 32LPA from CSE brunch and he placed in cyber security based company, avg package to be 7-8LPA and medium 5-6LPA and lowest 2.75LPA which is offered but no student accepted it . around 300 companies made offers and the majority of them are services and consulting companies only a few product-based and cyber security companies made offers which all are above 13LPA, try to get placed asap , if u want to clear the gate and do MTECH in IITs but I don't think so job market is ready for it. only if you are in electronics then doing MTech or PhD will help
