GOOD EXPERIENCE

One year at this place i would say it was a good and very hectic year. learn alot and it has changed me.

cat,cmat,xat,mat,ksom's own exam all are accepted. i came here via mat february 2017 exam. my score was 651.5/800, i chose this college as it was the best option among the colleges where i had secured admission.

The first year has 17 subjects, with subjects from all areas. In the second year, the student has to select two specializations- major and minor; i.e 8 majors,6 minors & compulsory 2 subjects in the second year. the first year gives a very broad idea about management.

Yes, companies do come for internships. stipend varies from 5000 to 15000rs. Many try to get some internship offers from their contacts so that they can stay at home, as it is a 8 to 10 week affair. Banks ,FMCG, IT many companies come for internships.

huge number of companies come every year. the packages vary from 4.5 to 15 lakh. the average goes 6 lakh. companies from all sectors- banks, IT, FMCG ,Manufacturing etc come for recruitment. the figures change slightly year to year. TCS, Britania, Deloite etc are all regular recruiters.

there are about 2-4 events by the student clubs every month. freshers and farewell are a yearly affair. a research fair has been started this year. plus we have 3 conclaves a year. so events happen every now and then. this also gives students to learn and also get some good add to their cv.

the hostel is complusary for MBA students and the fees for 2 years is around 12 lakhs. this includes tuition fees, books(yes, it's given permanently), a laptop, laundry, exam fees,hostel room, hostel food, and the generator(the line goes off too frequently in bhubaneswar). it is expensive for many families but if one utilizes properly then brilliant. there is also scope for various scholarships.

Do check the website also. For CAT/XAT scholarship is given for 80 percentile and above and for MAT scholarship is given for 95 percentile and above. loan facilities are available but the interest charges i am not aware of, most likely it would be 12%.

40:60 female: male, there are multiple student clubs- marketing, finance, media, cultural, stimulation, NSS etc. the students are mostly from eastern states and few from north, very few from west and south; and a few international students from nepal, bangladesh, africa.

hostel facilites are good. each room is shared by two students. the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday by the maids. the mess food is okay, atleast better than most hostels. one cannot expect home cooked food's taste in hostel mess. the hostel mess provides meals for 4 times a day. non veg food is also given.

Not much of interaction with the seniors but i would say that some seniors are really nice, mostly because then the MBA-I enters the college for the first time, the senior batch is already busy with their internship presentation, report and with placements.

Each paper is of 100 marks that is broken down into 40 for end sem, 20 for mid sem and the rest 40 is covered in unit tests, assignments, presentations, projects. And plus 4 class for 5 days a week with each class of 90 minutes duration. so we are never chilled out.

A student has to apply from the website online or by downloading, filling and sending the form. the application costed 1200rs at my time. the applications start from december end to may. The interviews are conducted in multiple cities including Bhubaneswar. The student that day has to give GD, PI, WAT and verify the educational documents. All communications are done via email.

Most of the faculties are good. some are excellent. whereas some are i feel not up to the mark. that happens everywhere. each student is given a mentor for the course. i.e a faculty whom one can look up to at the time of need. most faculties here are P.hD and many have good corporate exposure.
